He then spoke about his team facing Pittsburgh rookie Paul Skenes, and how impactful it will be to have Edwin Diaz back in the New York bullpen following his suspension.

prob made no difference. Egl made good plays at 3rd today, and Mets were outscored. So might not have made a difference

Why is McNeil still getting playing time? He should be an emergency sub because of his defensive versatility but he shouldn't be playing unless someone is injured

I have been watching the New York Mets since the 1960’s. I’ve seen managers come and go. If I could give any advice to their current manager it would be to stop managing like you’re managing the Yankees. The Mets are not and have not been a winning ball club. Therefore you have to manage to win every game that you can. When in front, the manager must take steps to protect the lead because the Mets are not a good “come from behind team”. Success means winning every game your team has a chance to win.
