The jury came to a verdict on Friday afternoon where they found 15-year-old accused killer, Carly Gregg, guilty on all three charges of tampering with evidence, first-degree murder, and attempted murder after killing her mother, Ashley Smylie, and attempting to kill her stepfather, Heath Smylie. The 15-year-old still awaits sentencing, but could face life behind bars.

Sorry but Carly is getting hit very hard with the reality of CONSEQUENCES. I’m not sure why people think she should be excused for some reason yet Josh Phillips doesn’t get any empathy about his trauma or excused for his age at the time (14) (nor should be imho). Or see the James Bulger case in England (youngest perps ever in that country) in which both murderers have been released with new secret identities yet both have allegedly/apparently been involved in more crimes. Carly experienced some trauma but many do, her mother was an active, loving, and involved mother, and her decision and her behavior as she did it PLUS THE ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HER STEPFATHER shows a very very cold and calculating personality. That is not “fixable,” so…

Laboring, pushing the baby out, taking care of the baby for years, dealing with her father smh….there are mothers pimping out their kids for money & drugs. There are kids displaced from their homes from war. Kids who want to go to school but can’t because their parents can’t afford it, they have to quit school & sell products on the street. Her lawyers should have advised her properly she would have been better off taking the 40 year plea deal and she would have been paroled after 30 years she would have been out by 40 years old, instead of going to trial and getting life. The judge literally told her the choice to accept or reject the plea deal was hers and only hers. The lawyers couldn’t tell her which way to sway and they couldn’t influence her. She made her own choice to reject the 40 years.

Yes, that is weird. I watched a couple of other videos about the case. He was suspicious. I mean, if there was no recording, etc. of the murder, I would think he did something. When the cops showed up, he was weird too, and while they were taking him to the ambulance, he was crying for his dogs! I am guessing he is very okay with that she killed Ahsley because he must have got a life insurance check and whatever was left from Ashley to him. For his position as a step-dad and plus shot by his stepchild, he is not acting normal.

Yea but you have to look at it she’s a 14 year old child. There’s soo many different things running through her mind right now. Im sure she regrets doing what she did. And the female defense attorney knows she’s only a 14 year old. That’s hard for anyone to grasp and she’s not entirely sure whether it was because she was Mentally Unstable or if it was deliberate.

He probably told her she's a kid and would be able to get out of prison easier and nobody would believe he would have had anything to do with Mom's death if he was shot too.
