Kobe scored 22pts on 13 shots with 8 assist. 3 assists came in the 4th quarter and scored 4 points. So even in that game I’d say Kobe outplayed Melo in the 4th quarter and DEFINITELY outplayed him in the series not even close. 2 bad he'll never have his number retired even tho he's top 10 scorer of all time. Not only did he do Denver dirty, although Denver did end up being better than New York after that trade, but Jokic now wears number 15 and will be remembered as the greatest player in nuggets history. Maybe team USA will retire his number 😂

I thought Melo was already retired 😆

Gotta love how the segment is about honoring Melo but Nick spends the first 3/4th of his speech shitting all over his failures, and even sneaks in a dig at Kobe. The man is insanely insecure about LeBron. It's a sickness.

The problem is that Carmelo's NBA career has been empty calories. Great scorer but amounted to nothing.

Lol Imagine Melo getting drafted by the Pistons, instead of the Nuggets. He would've had at least 2 rings and as great as his career was, his narrative would've been different. But, that's sports and life

Carmelo Anthony was a great offensive player but overall player? He could have done more, he should have done more, but he didn't because he only focused on one aspect of his game.

Why you don’t just go back and check box scores because you can do the same ….that Melos “not as good team” carried him in game 4 when he shot 3/16

Melo was def a great player. Not a Superstar player. Couldn't lead his team at any point in his career to the play off's let alone a championship. Scoring points means d_ck in the NBA, anyone can score, but not everyone can win at a level like other Superstar players.

I don’t like when they make the excuse of not being favored for great players. Isn’t that part of the argument that if they were greater then they would be favored? The fact they weren’t just shows the player didn’t make the team great. I love Melo I’m just saying I’m general that excuse is lame

He was made for a big stage. He won a national championship and Olympic medal. He was a great scorer and his mentality. He wanted to win and showed leadership/ he would have performed well in the nba finals. I felt like he would have been clutch and elevated his play. Saying he was a bad teammate is bs. His game doesn’t cater to team play but he didn’t have the best teams around him.
