I think the heels flow very well with the soles. I normally like the dovetail heels, but these look fantastic! Love this JR sole too. I almost wish my shoes needed new soles...

Can oiled leather be changed

I was just wondering if it might be easier to remove the stitches using a wire brush rather than picking out thread?

The original sole could have lasted years before needing a resole. I've a different pair of boots from Carmina, but with the same sole and I think it will last at least 3-4 winters before needing a new one.

Do you happen to know which suede shoe model this is or which last it is by Carmina ? Thank you -

it sin't hard to confuse waterproofing with water resistance when the retailer is clearly misusing the word. water proof, means i can soak my foot in water and nothing gets in. The proof part means something very specific.

Not that it matters much but I think that "Beaute du Cuir" is actually pronounced "bow-tay doo queer." And in case you didn't already know, it means "beauty of the leather," which describes the product's intended use quite well. And "Medaille d'Or" means "gold medal," as I think you mentioned in another video.

what the original soles not good enough to walk on? just wasteful

if you could pull the skiving tool instead of pushing it, I think it would be more convenient.
