Yes, the “smudge” guy who dressed up the takeout pizza. He was also shown in the first episode of season 3, shucking pea pods, trying to keep up with Carmy and his protege.

@@Brad-ic4bpI noticed that Adam was in S3E1 as well. I don't trust this dude, for some reason. I feel like in S4, we'll see that he has some sort of animosity towards Carmy.

that “many people died” line is a call back to when they started the brigade in, i think, season 1. He said “I was in a brigade once. Many people died.” I love how many callback lines they have in this show.

The guy who Sydney ran into outside the train station (Adam Shapiro) said he snuck into the restaurant with some friends. More likely than not, one of his friends is probably a well-respected food critic. So, that's why Chef Sydney made that realization when Sugar said the Tribune was going to review them, as they had already came into the restaurant.

Also worth noting is that Adam Shapiro is the CDC of Chef Terry's restaurant, Ever. He's the one who yelled at the whole staff about the smudged plate and ended his rant with, "Now get back to work. Fuck you, Garrett!"

I read a theory (it was just a fan theory, no more) that Richie may be revealed as being gay in a future ep and I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s an emotional layer that would actually track. I really just want to see all of these people happy so I’d be into it.

I was thinking he would turn out to be gay since maybe the first episode of season one or very early on in the season at least. I don't know whether they'll do it, but it would work.
