Clamping the line won't stop fluid bleeding through under pressure and will eventually start locking the rear calipers. Best ways I've found is get a fitting for the master and weld up the hole ,pull rear line out, put welded fitting in, no more rear brakes and then just put a rubber blank end over the line so it doesn't drip fluid out 👍 That or get a flat top nail the same diameter as the id of the line, cut it to about 20mm long from the nail head , pull line out slide nail into the line, bolt line back into master and no rear brakes ever lol just gotta make sure it's tight af so fluid can't push through 👍 Both methods work 100 times better than just just clamping the rubber line which literally always let's fluid past, remember when u push on the pedal it creates more pressure in the system, clamps work fine for mechanical work but your not using the brakes and pressurising the system. I reckon she'll do 4th easy 👌🤣 P.s. good luck out there 👍
Fuk yeah!! Ya got that right. The mang does a mad skid, instant smoke and there's no better sound than a supercharger whine. Gotta love it.. it'll do well, can't wait for the next video...Go Scotty.
Just one tip mate, add VN & or #vnarmy to the Supermang videos title/description, RU-vid algorithm & everything. ✌️ These videos need way more views, I was going to go V6 supercharged stroked in my VN back in the 2000's ppl said I was crazy! Such a beautiful baby blue car full of early VN SV6 parts ai ai ai... My ex also made me pass on an immaculate body & interior VQ Caprice, in about 04 that was an otherwise dead 5 litre & only $1500, keep up the amazing work 👏 Thought I should start commenting after watching since at least early 2019 ✌️ Mang mang mang forever haha
Scotty it's good to see you showing/using ppe ; most of the American car shows I see they don't bother, I sometimes think they believe it's more macho not to wear protection? Not setting very good examples to the kids of today.
Mods tailshaft loop so he doesn't need to pull tailshaft out in future. Pulls tailshaft out because it's easier than the bolts ;) Best of luck for the weekend mate
I've seen those factory overflow bottles explode 20yrs ago, even less crusty than that one.. the other thing you'd probably be aware of but i'll mention it anyway is during burnouts how far down the exhaust glows red hot, I'd have installed a heat shield not removed it... are they fuel hoses near the right hand side pipe/cat?
Thank you for specifying about the wheel weights. I scrutineer all of the cairns comps and can say it till I’m blue in the face and we still send cars back with wheel weights on 🤦♂️
Two little bits of advice. 1. Take off the mud flaps. 2. Use vise grips on the brake hose. It will bleed past the plastic ones. Learned this from a friend.
Have you thought about a ball valve in the hard line for locking the rear barkes out? It is a bit of messing around but i have seen it work well before. Good luck to the supermang transmission your going to need it your gonna need it little buddy.
Scotty mate , now that you mention it, my HQ Holden 25th anniversary silver 4 door, had the red 202, but had a powerglide in it which i could not figure out, but sure enough because you can do at least 110km in first the tailshaft let go and it was the front section that dropped, luckily i knew what had happened and slowly pulled over and then got it back to get the yoke and new bearings put back on, you right mate it can tip the car completely over on its roof or worse hit you in the car?
Once up-on a time, Padmé was on a Formular 1 circit, but unfortunatly, she becaum a vicktum of Mad Max. She tryd to escaip on Ruot 666 in a 2000 hp Supra, bekaws she herd it was the fastist car arownd. The earf was gettting hottrr and hottrr, and she new she had to leave befor it was too late. As she was driving, she met a 95-year-old Telsa invister who was ridiing in a self-drayving car. He was verry ritch and offored to mary her so she could inherit his fortune when he dies. Padmé thoht it was a good idea and agried to marry him. But even tho she was maryed to a ritch man, she stil had feelins for a Chad who was moor interested in his poster of a Commodore than her. She was disapointed that he wouldn't commit to her and wanted to be with the poster instead. In the end, Padmé was happy with her ritch husband and they livd happily evr after.
Have seen that trick to lock off brakes before, works for limited use of brakes (light touches of pedal), but fluid always pushes past the clamps, then it has the reverse effect where it clamps the rear brakes on, and the rear end you were trying to save ends up f$*ked plus the extra heat kills parts faster, best bet is just plug the line at maybe master cylinder or the hose above rear diff, go well Scotty give it heaps👍
Scotty did you find the build sheet for the car under the carpet at all? also would have used Nylon lock nuts mate, that way due to vibration they will not let go?
LOL Kmart K26 runners, brings back so much memories, it was for those who could not affords the Adidas, nike, etc, like me? Till i got my first dole check then it was all out on branded stuff and Jesus they were wide on the bottom. :)
Never desired the name bands was happy with my KT26's, but the quality of them dropped off quite badly and I stopped buying them. Think the quality improved a bit but the price went up too. They were once great cheap shoes.
@@DodgyBrothersEngineering agree 100%, like anything back then at target and kmart, you could by everything and save heaps but not now days ,due to the quality issues mainly you you mentioned?
That was a lovely burnout mate. Instant, plenty of smoke, and accompanied by a nice supercharger whine. You should do well. Does it do meth to combat the heat?
I would consider going a 1 piece drive shaft because the centre bearing is the weakest part of it as well as because it will pull gears the overall pressure on it will not hold it for long enough if you end up using it for different events
vn commodores were built for skids from the factory, go to a burnout comp in the late 90's/early 2000s and 80% of the entrants were vn/vp commodores with clubsport rims on the front and interceptors on the back
F*ck yeah! That reminded me on the days i was young, doing burnouts with my Taunus (Cortina in the UK or AUS) Wagon with stock V6 engine in it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oeGfZLlXugs.html Good old days...
Also, rather than a 4 piece loop which requires more bolts and is awkward to fit under the car what about a 2 piece loop in which the upper half of the loop is incorporated into the brackets attached to the car body. You would not need to drop the tail shaft or the exhaust.
@@STREETMACHINETV Could have welded the bottom section to the cross member, and still bolted the top section. If it needed to come out only a couple of bolts to remove the cross member. Just would have saved a whole lot of hacking and drilling.
@@honestpat7789 give me enough of an advantage till I win. In a heads up race Farmtruck would have never won the race against the Falcon. So he got two truck lengths and the hit (probably the best part of a second head start), and the Falcon still nearly got him. So basically they didn't win the race based on performance, they negotiated the win. Which to my mind is a pretty hollow victory. Yet the Americans are walking around with their chests puffed out like they actually achieved something. Unless you both take off from the same spot at the same time, in my mind your not even racing. You're just driving fast in the same direction.
