Great to see the picture of my son and I and mentioned by San himself Is an honor to be a Patreon ! Let’s get on the Patreon Hall of Fame! And yes Left Hand Path is the best Entombed album and one of the best in Death Metal
This album is not produced by Dan Swanö. The album was recorded at the Project Zero Studio in Nijlen, Belgium and was mixed by members of Carnation; Yarne Heylen and Bert Vervoort. Mastering was done by Dan Swanö at his Unisound Studio.
Yes Sam, yes!!! This album is probably one of my favourites of the year. The Entombed love is so strong. Also, you're completely right, Left Hand Path is one of the best albums ever recorded.
The vocals really caught me with this band. I really like the style and their ability as a whole. I heard the cover song on skeletal remains album and said WAIT A SECOND. I kept replaying that one song till I found this band.
You did a great review of this album here. I have been seeing some promotion for this record, but now I have been convinced to buy it. Great sound and great words, cheers! \m/
Listened to this during the weekend. Really enjoyed the sound (including the vocals) and the songwriting. Nothing revolutionary, but still solid and very fun.
This looks like just the band I had been looking for! It’s hard to find bands that are running with the old school death sound but still making it fresh. Plus, anything that Dan Swano has his hands on is bound to be interesting
I picked up Devouring Mortality a few weeks ago and haven't been able to put it down. Absolutely killer record, I'm really excited to listen to their older material. Haven't heard of Baest, I'll give them a go! Thanks for the recommendation!
Hell yes, just ordered the CD (yes, I'm that old). Just when I think I'm done with "Entombed-core," yet another great band comes along.... Also fantastic album art.
It'd be awesome if you guys made an Overkill Global about Mexico. We got a lot of stoner, a lot of death and a lot of thrash, also we do have a huge deal of melo-death metal bands.
RIP Coupon of the band Bathsalt 1966-2004... Love the work you did on Under the Bridge, Blood Fire War Hate, and Hellhammer. Great industrial grindcore albums. Rust In Peace Buddy.
I was listening to Forming The Void "Rift" as Sam gave it a shout-out! That record is great and I wasn't too into Carnation, so I played something else while Sam talked. FTV just played with Howling Giant the other night and, from the live posts I have seen, it was crazy!!!
Finally some underground extreme metal. To be honest I was a bit worried that Bangertv was turning into just another one of those "we only review the big bands channels" because we sure don't need more of those. So thanks for this review and for destroying my worries. Great band and album btw and will we get a Burial Invocation review in the future? Amazing death metal band from Turkey worth checking out.... Cheers :-)
Great to have u back in the chair Sam, welcome back! :D If you want an outstanding debut album, listen to LETTERS FROM THE COLONY - VIGNETTE (Nuclear Blast Records 2018)!!!! Killer debut!
This album is sick as fuck. Also ya gotta check out Baest - Danse Macabre. Some of the best death metal I've heard in a while. Shit is devastatingly heavy. Definitely my choice for best death metal debut album.
I so this Banda live when I went to see pestilence they opened i never heard this band before and I became a fan great death metal bote there CD and I love it great great band you nind to see them live
WOOOO!! MEXICO!! \m/ Cheers, Manuel and Iván!! Sincerely a Mexican!! Btw, fucking Carnation sounds demented!! \m/ >_< \m/ Sam, we agree on "Left Hand Path" being Entombed's best record, and I'm 27!! XP Gonna check this one out.
I have metal tastes more akin to Samm than any of the other Bangers. It seems like he favors straightforward metal, doesn’t matter the genre as long as it ticks all the boxes of heaviness.
