It will be interesting to see your thoughts on the Celebration. Is it real bbq….heck no but I am not expecting real bbq on an assembly line ship. We tried Guys BbQ a few times and no it was not consistent. A meat that was dry and no flavour was okay another time and then the opposite another time. The mac and cheese was the only item that was always consistent. I also think if you go in the evening and not for lunch you get better food because it is not sitting out drying out and losing flavour. The Celebration is always free so it would make an interesting video comparing the same items for lunch and dinner or evening snack.

I understand what you’re saying, I tried Pig and Anchor on Horizon, not the best bbq. If on the Magic, I may try and see if any better. Thanks for sharing

We must of just had some good cooks on mardi gras back in october because everything was good.

Like most of the comments , I agree with you. I’ve tried it on 4 different ships. None have impressed me. At this point, I won’t be waiting in the long line in my upcoming cruise. Everything isn’t for everybody 😊

Great review Mike. Been on multiple Carnival ships with the Pig and Anchor and it has been underwhelming. We just skip it. I understand that it is being made on a ship so it will not measure up to what you and I smoke.

We ate at the Guy & Pig on the Carnival Vista and it wasn’t good either.

When we went on the Mardi Gras the BBQ was terrible as well. I couldn't understand why people were lined up for it in the afternoon for lunch. The beef was grainy and tough, the chicken was dry, the beans were underdone and watery tasting as you pointed out, and the sauces were just sugar. They are also just serving "beef" instead of brisket which is why the cut is bad. The only thing I liked was the sausage, which is hard to screw up since it's likely bought from a provider that specializes in making sausage haha!

I think the guy was cutting the brisket wrong. It looked like the point, which has allot of fat, and he was just chopping it up, with no attention to the grain. The mac n cheese looks thin and runny, which I can't stand. I'll be on the Magic in a few months, so I will probably try the pulled pork and sausage, maybe the beans.

I have to agree... the best thing on Carnival BBQ, or the Guy's version, has always been the mac and cheese.... I'd rather have a Guy's burger any day.... I was just on the Liberty, and they have the Carnival BBQ spot, and I skipped it every day!!

You know my opinion on this one. Not great. Guys should be ashamed to put his name on this abomination!
