Hey Cathy! Thank you for commenting. We have been informed in previous comments and have put an edit in the video description correcting the misinformation. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for commenting Carole! We appreciate feedback and corrections. We acquired our information directly from Carnivals website. Below is a link to the Mardi Gras Page on Carnivals website where it shows both of these restaurants as additional charge. However, we know the website can sometimes be incorrect. If you happen to have proof that these are still complementary, that would be greatly appreciated. www.carnival.com/cruise-ships/mardi-gras#dining
@@oowtrvl we are on the ship in two weeks and the website must not have been updated because the Pig & Anchor is also complimentary. I belong to a few online groups and so far these three are still free but I’ll let you know when I get back. I think because the my time dining MDR venue at the Flamingo is small they are using the other two as regular restaurants. Supposedly the Celebration will be the same. 😊
Thank you for watching!!! 15 days, wow! You’ll have a blast! We hope you have a wonderful trip and the weather is beautiful. We’re foodies too, so feel free to ask us questions about the food or drinks onboard, and we’ll do our best to help!
Thanks for the review! Question about Chibang...You say it has a charge now. It looks like it is currently free. When did they charge for dining there?
Hi Misty! Thanks for reaching out. This was an error on our part. We added an edit to the description of this video to clarify the mistake. Are you sailing on Mardi Gras soon?
Chibang is confirmed by all as mediocre. We only had one meal at Capitano. It was decent enough. We need to try it again. The mdr is downgraded and mediocre. Guy's/chicken/iguana/street eats/pizza/pannini are all pretty darn good--but only pizza and pannini is open at dinner. They really need to keep guys/chicken/iguana open for dinner. Since they downgraded the restaurant (seated) food, I'm not that keen on going on excel class again. We did *not* try Emeril's for dinner, but that is not a bad deal, could be worthwhile for sure.
Thanks for watching!!! Emeril’s Bistro was worth every penny. Guys, big chicken, and blue iguana need to stay open for dinner, just to give people more quick bite options. I agree with you, MDR wasn’t my favorite on Mardi Gras or Breeze this year, so it might just be a decline fleet wide 🤷♂️ Thank you for sharing your experience! Happy cruising! 🛳️🌴🌊☀️
Very disappointed with Chibang. Loved the lettuce wraps ordered two of them, basically wife and I just ate the appetizers. Sea grill was terrible. Steak house was amazing. Loved alchemy bar and fortune teller. Did enjoy brunch at the palms. Loft 19 was the place to chill all day on sea days. Overall loved the Mardi Gras.
Hey Jack! From our experience If you go to the restaurant on embarkation day, before they open and talk to the host they may let you pick your desired table/location. We hope you have a great time on your trip!
I LOVED the oysters, we also enjoyed the wagu steak. Steakhouse was one of our favorites, didn't care for Rudi's (food or service). At ChiBang we loved the asian side, but never tried Mexican. You said...they are now charging and that has got someone asking on the cruise site? I understand that these are always gonna be complimentary.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s good to know that these will remain complimentary. We’re looking forward to the Asian food from Chibang next time we sail on an Excel class ship. Hopefully Rudis improves for that $38 per person cover charge. Thanks for watching!
Just went on my first cruise ever on Marci Gras. The free food included was such a let down. The buffet sucked. Same thing every morning and the lunch and dinner options were basically casserole based. Nothing pleasing to the eyes at all. The main dining room was such a disappointment as well. The food was always with added seasoning and ruined the food presented. The seasoned cruisers that I went with said that they had much better food on the other Carnival ships and the presentation was also better. I’m so disappointed that unless I went to a restaurant that was not included the food was terrible!!! Probably won’t cruise Carnival again!
I agree, I haven’t been that impressed with Carnivals main dinning room food. It’s either really good or really bad. We’ve seen some articles lately talking about changes being made to the main dinning menu fleet wide, so hopefully this fixes the issues with inconsistency and they start to offer a higher quality of ingredients. Thanks for watching!
