Our last Sea Day onboard Carnival's beautiful ship, Panorama! We'll explore a little more of the ship and it's dining options and take some time to hopefully answer some of your questions about cruising and of this ship.

21:45 Agreed, that is my personal strategy. I usually study the Main Dining Room posted menu a few hours prior to dinner first, then dine at MDR first, take a short break, then hit the buffet.

I want to thank you for all your tips videos before going on the on the Carnival Panorama. We just got back from the Panorama (4,300 on board) on August 27th and had a wonderful time, did our own tours and tasted wonderful food both on and off the ship. It was our first cruise after the pandemic. One tip not mention that we saw was a couple do, they came out of the ship In Puerto Vallarta with an empty carry-on, I guess a day of shopping and no tours. I never thought of it myself. I had to come back to the ship with all the bags we bought and then return back to the family on the Malecon boardwalk. Just a thought. David and Brenda, NY

What I found out on our last cruise if you are quarantined to your room during a cruise you can smoke if you have a balcony room.

Hi Guys, just saw the video which was very informative. However, we were waiting for you to talk about the entertainment. What's going on with that. We are about to book a cruise and could not get any info on entertainment on Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival on their sites. We love their shows and look forward to them. Also, next time if you can, give us a view on the daily activities day to day (take a snap shot). You showed the dancing and singing near the pool area but how about, bingo, night entertainment, any comedy, etc... We would just love to see an overview during this pandemic situation. Thank you,

There have nightly entertainment in the showroom, bingo, karaoke, and several comedy shows. We took in 3 or 4 shows and filmed some short clips in the other daily vlogs. From what we experienced on this cruise, everything was pretty much back to a normal cruising except for the wearing masks indoors.

Regarding drinking age in Mexico is 18yrs and up, she had mentioned some tourist areas carried over the 21yrs up is not true Mexico law still applies.

Actually, Lisa was correct about the time zones. Puerto Vallarta is two hours ahead of Pacific time. Mazatlan and Cabo are one hour ahead. 😁

I take Bonine as well, but I had to pair it with Sea Bands on the one and only cruise that I went on. After watching this series, I told my hubby and son, that I want to go on a Christmas Cruise next year. May I ask, how far in advance should we make reservations, in order to secure a nice room, AND, is it always best to get a room towards the front of the ship, oh, and on what floor? Thank you so much! Lisa was looking for onboard credit deals before booking this cruise, so maybe around Jan-Feb this year? Carnival lets you book up to 2 years in advance. If you book far in advance, and if there's a price drop or incentive (like onboard credit), you'll need to call Carnival for a price adjustment (they'll either offer a refund of the difference or given in onboard credit), but it's up to you to call for the adjustment, not automatically done. The most ideal stateroom cabins to minimize the ship's rocking motion will be in the middle and closest to the water, like Deck 1. We stayed pretty far forward on Deck 9 and was fairly smooth with minimal movement for most of the cruise. The last night heading back to Long Beach, the ship was moving pretty good. Not to the point of getting sick, but had that 'Uh oh' moment thinking this better not last all night. lol. That said, you can't predict the ocean, just can hope for a smooth cruise, kinda like airplane flights. Merry Christmas!

What fun times! So the $15 upcharge fee, is that on top of the menu price? I'm confused. Is gratuity automatally charged on the buffet, mdr, receipts, are those meals free included ?

GiGi (Asian restaurant) and the Italian one have the $15 per person upcharge for dinner, which includes 1 appetizer, 1 main entree, and 1 dessert. The same applies to the steakhouse and Teppanyaki restaurants, but their charge is something like $35-38 per person. Guy's BBQ place items are individually priced, same goes for the Seafood Shack and sushi/Japanese restaurant. Automatic gratuity applies to bar drinks and coffee house items. What's free (included in the price of the cruise) are Main Dining Room breakfasts and dinner, buffets, Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana Mexican food, 24hr pizzeria, 24hr soft serve station, water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate packs, juice for breakfast, and some room service items (automatic gratuity may apply).

A couple of questions. Is therw a chaplaun onboard cruises? Do they have a Captain's dinner? Are there ever any dress codes? i.e. No swimsuits or sheer clothing in the fine dining? Is there police or security guards visible just in case something violent occurs? Thanks.

Great questions. Don't believe a chaplain is on board, or one hasn't been publicly announced. Captain's dinner, we only dined at the 'anytime dining' dining room (once) and I believe the Captain's table is at the other main dining room with the set dining times (early or late), so we're not sure if this is currently happening. Yes on the dress codes for the dining room and steakhouse. Security staff is onboard and visibly present. We did not see anything happen that required security on this cruise.

Sorry for the late reply. Cheers Drink Package came out to $55 per day, per person. If one person wants the drink package, everyone 21 and over in the same cabin must also get the package. And, the drink package is charged for the entire cruise, you cannot pick what days you want the package (ie. $385 per person for a 7 day cruise).

We had some epic sunset views, but were on the outs deck or in a restaurant window table. Hard to plan a sunset from your balcony as it depends what side the sun sets on the ship and which side your balcony is on. As the sun is setting, you'll find a great spot.

There are 48 cases of positive to Covid-19 on RC Sympathy of The Sea, home port Miami, cruise Caribbean. This is the biggest cruise ship in the world, capacity 6600 passengers and 2200 cruise members. So about 50 case out of 9000 people, do the math. I have not hear anything on Carnival Panorama , out from Long Beach, cruise Mexico Riviera.
