Why would it not hurt? Saber had a gentle heart and felt bad for Irisviel's suffering. Add to that the fact that they were somewhat friends and her death affected her a bit.
Both of the sakura images tear out my heart. Firstly at the genuine concern she has for her brother’s wellbeing as Gilgamesh crushes him. Then at her confusedly staring down at Kariya as he’s crushed under Zouken.
If you looks into the background lore of every Fate Servants, I think 90% of them are filled with betrayals, tragedies and hatred (especially those of Avengers). Seriously, only a handful of them actually have a long and fulfilling life without being killed or dying with regrets.
@@tatinh9885 That's because tragedies are some of the most memorable stories told and thus the subjects of tragedies are more likely to become heroes as their stories pass into legend. Heracles is most famous for his Twelve Labors which was essentially an elaborate punishment for murdering his first wife and child in a berserk rage. So without tragedy, he might have gone on to live a quiet uneventful life and would never have been recorded in the Throne of Heroes. People are only driven to do extraordinary things under extraordinary circumstances. Sadly these circumstances are hardly ever happy ones but we look up to those who become heroes in spite of these circumstances.
@@howardlam6181 i am pretty sure carnival phantasm mostly had shirou x saber in the show, and that was further proved by emiya-san chi sou no gohan, so yeah, you most probably right
Kotomine and Kiritsugu having the same poses as Lancer and Archer makes me smile. Also it's weird being happy seeing Giles De Rais with Jeanne. I'm glad he got to see her again buuuuut.... It's still Giles De Rais.

Fun fact: a reinvestigation in 1992 confirmed that what Gilles said to Ryuunosuke about his execution was actually the truth. The corrupt nobles and lords actually did falsely charge him with those crimes so they could claim his wealth and properties.
Courser Hunter When Jeanne was burned Gilles was broken by her death. So as years went on he dabbled on dark magic and just started killing people. He was also accused of sexually abusing and killing younger boys.
He explained that it was because he believed that God would punish him for it and he tried to proof that the that god is a "good" guy and will punish the sinful by being a super bad guy. His master make him realized that God is a dick...
this is my first time watching this and when I saw Gilles and Jeanne I had to pause the video because I got really happy for some reason why am I so happy to see them reunited lmao
Jeanne from what I understand was that one thing keeping Gilles sanity intact and without her he kinds just flipped. Meeting her again, it just opened up his ability to rationalize once more.
Gilles's suffering would slowly stop because of Jeanne and Jeanne would be so happy to see her old friend and forgive him for what he did despite all the atrocoties
This song brings back so many happy memories. Carnival Phantasm was truly an amazing piece of art and I had never laughed as hard as I did when I first watched it.
Shirou gets to appear three freaking times. And if they eventually include Prisma Ilya (and let Ilya technically appear FOUR TIMES), Shirou would still be appearing the most with FIVE incarnations XD
Well, Ryougi Shiki appears three times too in this. Not too shabby,for a relatively more obscure protagonist. Could have pushed for four, too! (but yeah, it's hard to beat Shirou when it comes to alternate selves... unless you're Saber, in which case, you have a virtually endless supply of clones just waiting to be marketed.)

@@daboi6509 well, isn't that the theme of HF, surrendering the world for one person, so it's still a good end but with sacrifice, it's either Shirou or Illya.
What I love the most about the Kara no Kyoukai part is that, that last tiny hand reaching out for Mikiya is probably Ryougi Mana's. It ends so perfectly! Shiki saying goodbye to Tomoe and then going on to live her life with Mikiya, which would culminate in their daughter Mana. That segment is so special! ^_^
Gilles seeing Jeane again and seeing her forgiving smile to the man who broke into despair from her death makes me so happy because through this his painful suffering ends
Did someone else feel this sorrow watching this video? Because after diving into Fate Universe it's like killing a part of ourselves, trying to not bond with the characters.
I can see people getting emotional in the comments. I have a theory as to why. Tell me, how many times do u see an actual happy ending or story about the characters you? Not many for sure, most characters are pretty sad individuals or in a rather sad story. So seeing happy faces or happy tones on these characters really makes viewers emotional since its like watching a close friend finally get the happy ending or story they deserve. Feel free to add on anyobe.
"Fate is sad" Unlimited blade works: hold my sunny days No seriously that route is the only happy ending in fsn, outside of illya's death, but you can't have everything. rin and shirou going to clock tower is one of the many reason ubw is my favorite route.
