It’s true. The best medicines and treatments essentially just support what the body is trying to do anyway. Just give it what it needs. We generally don’t do well trying to outsmart it.
You are really helping people that are seeking an answer Dr. I'm on Day 5. 4 days off of metformin. The feeling is undeniable. I'm free as long as I continue. 15 total carbs in those 5 days. 🚂🥩🥩🥩🥩
💭💭 is there anyway to go this carnivore diet withOUT losing weight❔ 💭💭 I’m already underweight I need to gain weight❕ B U T 💭💭 I have a lot of health issues digestive SYSTEM issues/constipation/pain in low lower left side/the list goes on on on 💭💭 since hitting “perimenopause” it’s caused SO many SYMPTOMS/issues❕
Make sure you eat 70-80% of your total kcal from the fat on the red meat, and the rest % is from protein. Can easily be done with 30% fat content ground beef. Nothing else, really no dairy no anything, just this. Eat enough, train until failure, and you'll grow so quick you won't believe your eyes.
It's not a weight loss diet, but rather a body optimization diet/way of eating. If you're underweight, you'll gain. If you are overweight, you'll lose. And once you're at your body's optimum weight, you'll remain relatively stable from that point on. I'm not talking about any plateaus where your weight doesn't change for a while during any healing phases, but rather when you're at your optimum, both inside and out.
I was 115lb, 5' 6" when I started carnivore. I had eaten LFHC for 58 years so it took months for me to get fat adapted. I started to gain weight when I added diary, now I've gained too much weight and need to quit the dairy :(.
Well, seed oils are first pressed with high heat and chemically extracted with Hexane. They must then be chemically bleached, de-gummed, deodorized, etc. They are then packaged in plastic bottles and stored for long periods of time. (Oil encourages the estrogen-mimicking chemicals in plastic to leach into the oil contained in the bottle over time). They are made of double-bonded molecules that are very reactive to oxygen - meaning they start becoming oxidized as soon as the bottle is opened. They are generally used to cook in high heat applications at home - further damaging the oils. You tell me: do they sound healthy to you? Now, a very small company producing centrifuged oil from avocados or olives or some nuts that are very easy to extract oil from - in other words, pre-industrial oils that you can use as skincare - they could be ok. But why not use tallow for your skincare/food?
Carnivore for 7 months. ( 70 yrs old, 5'2",was 151lbs, down to 115😊) off 6 of 7 meds, feel GREAT, LOOKIN GOOD! Carnivore for the rest of my life, Baby!
Congrats Dee. 🎉😃 Very inspiring. 🥩🤍💪🏽 If it’s hormones I’d do some research on bovine female organ supplements. I’m using those for Perimenopause. I’ve now avoided being hooked on (p)Harma anxiolytics, SSRI’s & hormones cuz of them.
😘😘😘❤ I eliminated all my severe inflammation with carnivore. Weight loss was the bonus. I can now enjoy my beautiful grandchildren without pain. God Bless you, Mr. BERRY!! YOU'RE THE BEST 😊
It was magic for me, with two back surgeries and age 52 exercising has become problematic. So I started the carnivore diet last November and have lost 30 kg. With that alot of my chronic back pain has dissipated. Thank YOU Doc! Accidentally finding you on RU-vid has been a godsend. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
@bredjid I started strictly eating carnivore, no alcohol and zero sugar from Nov 1 last year. So about 7 or eight months. Exercise definitely played its role , for me it's just heaps of walking.
@alwildrhino8139 Walking's great! If you pay attention to you posture while walking, you can activate all sorts of muscle groups, even abdominals and back muscles and if you move your arms aswell, you burn even more calories. Also, now that you lost all that weight and acquired more mobility, you may consider increasing your joint mobility and elasticity and toning your muscles by doing "lazy" excercizes that don't "weigh" on your spine. If you do them correctly with respiration and all, you get not just more toned, but energized and your range of motion and agility increases. I literally started out toning myself while watching TV and lying on a couch! 😂
@daniby9894 thanks so much for the tips and hints! I especially love the tip on exercising from the couch...genius 👍 Now my next goal is to, once and for all, quit smoking. This is proving to be quite the task.
I must disagree with you on it not being magic. I have normal blood pressure and no more arthritis after only three weeks on the carnivore. To me, that's magical at 73 when you wake-up and feel great at my age.
Began Keto 8 months ago, carnivore 4 months ago. The transformation is nothing short of a miracle. I know it isn’t a miracle. But it is the only word that seems appropriate for the extensive damage that’s been undone. Nothing has come close to being called a miracle, but this deserves the recognition.
@@boink800 I admit, I misinterpreted your initial question. I thought you were asking me to see what would happen if I ate real food again 😅 I eat exactly what you’ve listed. Best I’ve ever felt!
Miracle as far as I'm concerned. Lifetime of gut issues, spent the last 14 years stuck in the bathroom. Started carnivore Jan 1st and I haven't puked or had explosive diarrhea since. My gut is SOOOO much happier.
It may not be magic but when you have been or are in the process of being healed by it, it sure feels like you are suddenly the bearer of dark and secret knowledge shared by only a select few (because everyone else thinks you are completely crazy).
People really do think you’re crazy! I follow a ketogenic diet right now and may move to carnivore in time. My friend’s daughter went carnivore a couple years ago and my friend went nuts!! (But she’s a LITTLE controlling 😉 but don’t tell her I said that. )
I want to go full carnivore but I love my salads. Especially cabbage. I use only lime and olive oil for dressing and all organic lettuce and arugula and cabbage with onions. When I eat it I feel good
@@varietythespiceoflife3953 Right on gonna pickle the cucumbers and some beets this year and try them but I don't appreciate the gas from vegetables anymore so this will be an experiment.
Nothing wrong with that. Humans are not carnivores we are omnivores, we naturally will thrive on varying amounts of both plants and meats depending on each individual
@@SylvineWe do. It’s hard sometimes though when someone chooses alcohol. I could understand someone choosing to keep coffee or some berries or even a cookie or two, but alcohol is on a whole other realm. I have a hard time giving up sugar, such as a cookie here and there or ice cream. A lot easier to not eat those things when it’s not in my house though. Sugar fucks with my mind!! Ugh
I have trouble just eating meat and eggs. Surely nature gave us fruit and vegetables for a reason. I definitely agree carbs abd refined sugars are not good.
@@maddisonbythesea3015 Dr Berry has a video where he talks about committing to strict carnivore for 90 days and then trying out various foods one at a time to see if they affect you. Of course beans aren't a great idea but perhaps you could do the 90 days and then try different kinds of beans to see if the bother you and if not maybe have them sometimes. Maybe over time you would want them less and less
It just seems like magic after a lifetime of eating the slow poison of a Standard American Diet. I didn't start keto/carnivore until I was 79 and it's been "miraculous" what it's done for me in a year.
Eat till full ideally eat lots of beef but nothing wrong with other meats if you prefer them, eat cheap meats if you can't afford the expensive stuff just avoid the ones with added sugars.
I started carnivore at 115lb, 5' 6". I finally gained weight by adding raw goats milk (and freshly made yogurt). Now I've gained too much weight - time for me to quit consuming dairy. I think it just took me a very long time to get fat adapted after eating LFHC for 58 years.
I’m carnivorous, which has made me feel great. Question I’m beginning to ask is: “Who’s designed to eat all these beautiful grains, legumes, fruits, etc.?” I now believe that we are all different and are designed for different things or foods. Trust me.
Absolutely Spot on. There's nothing magical to only eating Ruminant Meat...But in my case, it truly changed me, mind, body & spirit and after 11-months, I will never go back...🍖🇨🇦👍
Is anyone else binge watching these shorts ? I was introduced to keto by Dr Berg and never looked back but scrolling through these shorts, I feel like I've been further red-pilled about how everything we've been taught is meant to create customers, not good health. Thank you so much ❤
Well adding also. People generally aren’t just full of bad food. They’re also nutrient deficient on many fronts. Red meat, plus the removal of foods that block reduce bioavailability of nutrients, goes such a long way for most.
Elimination is a positive facet of carnivore. But when beef is coupled with daily exercise, I find a metabolic dynamism that doesn't exist with any other way of eating.
I wasn't feeling great on ketovore. Even after 2 months on the diet, I still felt like crap and couldn't figure out what the problem was. Increasing my fat, electrolytes and water consumption didn't help. I decided to add seafood to my meals. Just a little mackerel or sardines. Wow! What a difference. I'm starting to feel the magic everyone keeps talking about. I wish I'd added seafood from the beginning. There's obviously something in there that my body was short of.
Ohhh how I was in pain with arthritis. Some days it was worse than other days. Then I'd eat ground beef; eggs and the next day I already felt better!! I'm thankful to learn
Could I ask how many times you all go to toilet for no2 s please I be been on carnivore for 11 days now and I’m not poo inf daily sometimes going even 2 day s I drink lots of water and cook in butter just worrying there’s a back up or something Any suggestions please Thanks
The single best thing about going carnivore was learning when I was full. A few times I would go to bed and feel stuffed. It was uncomfortable. When I dialed it down it felt better. Yes you can be a fat ass on carnivore.
I absolutely love this way of eating because I am not a huge fan of fruit and vegetables anyway but my body does not seem to like it. I started keto July of 2020 and lost about 80 lb in a year but my cholesterol level was dangerously high. My doctor told me it was because of all of the red meat that I was eating. Has anyone else had issues with their cholesterol? I started eating regular again and of course gained the weight back but I feel horrible pretty much everyday and I am going to go back to keto. Just struggling with what is it going to do to my cholesterol level again 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️.
