Anita, thanks for prompting me to get to a Costco, my friend took me, I got four beef loins to cut into steaks and saved $540.00 compared to the price I got at Thrifty's. My freezer is full and I am happy. It only took 15 minutes to cut each loin. I got 52 huge steaks and made 5 pounds of ground beef with the trimmings.
@@KetogenicWoman I was shocked at the difference in price... Thrifty's $21.49 per pound for the whole beef loin and Costco's price was $12.69 per pound. (these are the regular prices, not sale prices). Shocking... I just feel stupid that I never asked for help to get to a Costco before this... Five years Carnivore paying too much for my food.
That is so GREAT! You are going to get so spoiled cutting your own steaks as well, and to me there is something therapeutic about cutting my own meat. I believe it gives me a chance to respect and pay thanks to the animal.
@@KoppersKitchen Thanks for your comment, yes, I do often give a prayer of thanks to the spirit of the animal I eat. It is a kind of mystery why one living animal or plant must die in order for others to live, but this is the World we live in and in my view each plant and each animal are of great value.
This is why we all love and appreciate you. You always emphasize that this way of eating is unique to each of us. The air fryer is just the most amazing tool for reheating just about anything, so much better than using a microwave. So funny, but no surprise, I use the parchment paper as well and cook multiple meals for the week! You are such a rock star! The salmon skin is the best part of the salmon too! It has protein and a lot of the Omega 3 as well. I never understand those who do not eat the skin. Terri, we love and appreciate you so very much! Only canned 🦈salmon is barely edible to me….with tons and tons of 🧅chopped onions to hide the salmon taste! (….. which I hate!) plus a generous scoop of my KETO MIRACLE WHIP dressing to bind. I am not sure if the best part is the onion…or the Keto Miracle Whip that i make homemade it is not the salmon.
“Natural satiety signals.” I’ve heard of them, but always thought that was a myth. Like Bigfoot. Or a unicorn. Or “no matter how much I eat, I just don’t gain weight.” 😂

I'm right there with you. I weigh and measure everything also. I did that in the mid 1980's when I was very low fat. I used a nutritional data book. I'm older and have been on almost every diet known. Yoyo dieting since 1966 at age 15.
I enjoy watching your daily meals. I didn’t comment on your last vid but I did begin to incorporate sardines or some form of fish as a result of it. My meal today was part of a NY strip, 2 eggs w a small amount of cheese (very small), a can of sardines. I cooked my steak from frozen & it was perfect. I also like crispy & enjoyed this vid😊

I love Alice and Kevin's way of cooking the steak bites; 6 minutes is perfect for me too...sometimes I sprinkle a tad of worcestshire sauce on before air frying, just for an uptick of flavour.
Glad you showed us how to cook frozen salmon. I’ve been cooking it in the broiler but the air fryer is still kind of intimidating to me. I’m encouraged to get it out and try this. Love all your videos. They have been so helpful
I started carnivore 2 months ago and lost my appetite after 4 days. I love this feeling because it makes things easier. I know from a popular Dr. On RU-vid why we lose our appetite on carnivore. I make myself eat but I choose good protein, eggs and carnivore recipes with chkn flour. I try to make a dish and decorate or garnish my plate to look beautiful. We do start eating with our eyes. Any plate of food can look unappetizing without some garnish if one has no appetite. So I use color to beautify my plate. Whatever it takes I’m on board. Those roast beef bites looked delicious and I can’t wait to make some salmon like that. TY
Anita, this is a great video! To each his own, I too track because I am not one to eat until I am satisfied! I can easily overeat and also find myself snacking when not tracking. For me, tracking makes me very aware of where I am at with the macro's. Those parchment liners are a wonderful idea! I will order some!
Anita thank you for blazing the path ahead of us - with such simple things that anyone can do them. The chopped egg and steak bites are truly not something I would have thought of doing. I would have thought the steak would be hard to eat that way an too chewy, but it looked great. I will try it soon!
You need an Instant read thermometer! Really helps when you're trying to figure out the timing and degree of doneness you want. I think the answer to "how do I get succulent meat?" is the same as for "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?" "Practice, practice, practice!!!"

I have the same problem. According to one doctor I have watched on RU-vid, I am supposed to get 120 grams of protein a day, and I can't possibly get that much down. I probably can't even afford that much. But, I am going to do the best I can this coming month, once I have the money for next month's groceries. That will be in around a week from now. I plan on spending more on food this month because this month I didn't get enough, and it looks like I will be scrounging for a few days. I guess the prices are going up again. For a long time I have been able to eat buy on around $200 plus $85 on my EBT card. This coming month I am going to have to spend about $100 more.

I still count my macros, etc. I'm currently eating higher protein and watching how much fat I take in so I am loving the psmf but I still feel like I need to count everything just to be sure I'm not going overboard. I don't do it daily like I used to bc I eat a lot of the same things but I still try to be mindful of what I am doing. :)

Make sure the wings are very dry (wipe with paper towel if needed). They will come out much crispier if the skin is dry whether you do air fryer or even baked.
Hello Anita. I finally ate plain sardines for lunch yesterday! I normally make your sardine salad recipe but tried them fried up in butter. Also what kind of roast did you cook to make the sliced roast beef? I remember watching it but cannot find the video.
I didn’t know you could eat the sun on fish?? What does it taste like?? I guess it’s because I’m used to my husband, obviously we don’t eat the skin, but even after cooking with the skin on, then he always flips the salmon over and scrapes all the gray stuff off. I don’t mind the gray stuff I don’t think it taste any different, but he can’t do that. Wait till he sees me try to eat the skin. Lol
oh I love the skin and the gray stuff is also very good for you! I do like it best when it's crispy like how you can make crispy chicken skins! You just have to make sure that your salmon fillets have been properly prepared with the scales being taken off. That is normally true by the time we buy it.
Very interesting video. Carnivore here for 18 weeks and had the impression we do not need to measure. But I am probably more likely to under eat. Maybe I need an airfryer? Even though I am travrling in a van???
Some people do not need to measure! I am one of the ones who gets benefits from keeping track, at the age of 65 I've had decades of bad eating to destroy my sense of how much is enough. If what you are doing is working for you then no need to change a thing! And that includes cooking methods, you choose what is best for your situation.
Very interested in your air fryer. It says it cooks up to 6 steaks so wondering if its overkill for a household of 2? I saw one that toasted too at canadian tire? So many different models its a bit overwhelming!
