I have met her in person and she IS a total sweetie. She lives this and I saw her handle someone who was in fear at her class. She responded with such love and grace the situation was transformed.

About the most inspirational video I’ve ever seen. I’m also a gay man about to retire and ALL I want to do is concentrate here forth on ACIM and my lessons. I’ve no desire for anything else and I’ve often said to myself it’s the most important thing I can do before I pass.

Thank you so much. A number of years ago I became frustrated with some of the wording in the Course, I wanted to learn more about the original transcription/transcriber. I had a hard time finding information back then, how delighted I am now to discover this on youtube, and to learn about Bill from someone who knew him intimately. Thank you! ❤️

Thank you for this! Hearing how HE practiced forgiveness over and over as things came up and that he got to enlightenment that even his closest friends were amazed at, that is SO worth knowing and gives an example path I can follow. The comment that the course brings things up for us to look at was impactful as I moved for my husband's job and then he wanted a divorce and moved back ;) I am doing well, and I credit it to the course and the other teachers, friends and support that have come through to me as the holy spirit leads me, and practicing forgiveness over and over and over and over and choosing to clean up my mind and release the dream - it works.

Dear Carol: Thank you for this information about Bill and your friendship with him. I know I would’ve liked him a lot as well. I listened to the recording’s Bill made about his life and The creation of the course in miracles and I was laughing so hard much of the time at his sense of humor. You are a wonderful wonderful teacher and so kind and beautiful and lovely to everyone. Thank you again, I am grateful for all the things you do, your teaching, the daily course in miracles lessons, and everything.

Does the course teach that the world is a big mistake if it is all an illusion? An ACIM teacher I know told me this... - that the world is an error. Is that what the course teaches? I have a hard time believing that it teaches that...
@onefive95
@onefive95 8 лет назад
+CoachSteve4u Coming at the course from a purely intellectual view can be a frustrating challenge. It does teach a forgiveness process that is experiential. Experience is very much more rewarding than intellectual heresay.
@CoachSteve4u

+John Round Thanks John. The problem that I have with the course is that some take it way too literally like a prominent healer who I knew. He made people in my group feel that this life is not really worth living or enjoying because that was his belief - the earth is a big mistake - the spiritual world is the only thing to look forward to - physical enjoyment of life is not good - all of the world is a big mistake and an illusion, etc. And when you consider that William Thetford was a confirmed CIA agent and head of the MKULTRA mind control program, subprogram 130, Psychology Therapy, (confirmed government document), then it really makes you wonder... Thetford promoted ACIM very heavily as Carol Howe admits! He was much more involved than people realize... So, to me, it's a cult. And it does dabble in mind control. It's not nearly as overt or upfront about it, but it's a cult. But then again, many religions are cults. The truth is that we are all powerful, spiritual beings having a human existence. Life is to be fully enjoyed and loved! We are not less than the spiritual world - we are the leading edge of it. This is what all of the new channelers are saying now - like Esther Hicks (Abraham) and Bashar. Are we to think that it's impossible for there to be new channelers? Why is Helen the only one? She channeled 50 years ago. That's old news now. I believe that she did channel Jesus but that Thetford misguided her. He even admits to editing the course! Hardly anyone knows that who is following ACIM. I did my research. I'm living in a different parallel universe than the ACIM people and I love being where I am. Sorry, but if I can help even 1 person in the world to avoid wasting years and years trying to understand a purposely written to confuse book written 50 years ago, then I'm going to take the time to explain myself. ACIM was a good start, but there is so, so much new information that has come out since then - those are Abraham Hicks words, not mine. But I totally agree... Follow your heart. Follow your inner being. It will never steer you wrong. Enjoy life in the here and now. Don't squander or take for granted our beautiful earth in all of it's perfection.
@onefive95
@onefive95 8 лет назад
+CoachSteve4u Indeed, go with experience over heresay. Otherwise you are left with theology.
@CoachSteve4u
@CoachSteve4u 8 лет назад
+John Round Good point John! But imagine this... I'm a 50+ year old in a week workshop with an ACIM believer who created EFT. He has a lot of influential power. There are 12 of us in his workshop. We are sort of his inner group. And he starts one of our meetings trying to convince all of us that we are insane. That was okay at first, but he really wanted all of us to admit it - to get us to say it. I understand from an theological perspective - we are insane because we don't really know who we are - I get it. But to drive that point over and over was a bit much. This is what happens when the teachings are taken too literally. But then what I found out was that this "leader" wanted all of us to believe that the earth is a big mistake, that the world is a "nightmare" and that the life isn't worth living - that only the non-physical life is worth anything. He even had followers of his wanting with all of their hearts to disappear from physical existence! Shouldn't that be a red flag to people? Also, this "teacher" wanted to keep EVERYONE not believing in his version of ACIM from being able to claim that they were practitioners of his. Wow - that was my last straw. So, I basically broke away from his cult and said goodbye to all 12 members who I had lead in meetings for months... To say that it wasn't hurting anyone is not true. There was one 20+ year old guy in there who in trying to fit in made statements like, "I don't even care about sex anymore. Pleasure doesn't mean anything to me anymore." Really? The "leader" didn't corrrect him - didnt say anything. And now, this young follower's life is forever going to be equating pleasure with sin - much like all of the religions want people to believe. Life is to be enjoyed! This does matter. I left the group to make a statement - and I told everyone everything about why. No one needs ACIM. All you need to do is to follow your heart. ACIM in the wrong hands can do more damage than good in my opinion. And that's why theology is important to consider. It can ruin a life.
@onefive95

+CoachSteve4u Dear Steve. All you say is good. Those others in your old group will realise the same thing you have eventually. You can wish you don't exist, but hang on a mo, I'm still bloody well here!!!! WTF?? You have all the tools at your own disposal to achieve whatever you want. A good thing about Self enquiry is its free and you don't have to impress or bore anyone with theories about spirituality. Its basically just noticing when you are unhappy or happy and noticing why. I feel unhappy when I hold a grudge about someone and relieved when I let it go, say it doesn't matter, or admit I don't even know what I am talking about. Love is wise, sex is great, having a laugh with others and talking life less seriously always comes as a total relief.

It is religious in the sense that religion is experience: "The attempt to formalize religion is so obviously an ego attempt to reconcile the irreconcilable that it hardly requires elaboration here. ⁴Religion is experience; psychotherapy is experience. ⁵At the highest levels they become one." ~P-2.II.2:3-5 It's just not religion in the cenventional sense of the word, which implicates all efforts to make forms out of the formless.
