He's a gun smith, he rides his bike with a pistol on his hip, and a dog on his back. He is simply beyond cool.

I wish all pet owners felt this way about their dogs! This is how it should be between owner and pup :)

I knew a guy back in the 70's that had a dog that rode on his bike everywhere unless it was raining....even had a helmet!

At the time I viewed this video there are 76 dislikes. You in their right mind would dislike this video. They must never enjoyed the company of a true best friend. I sent this video to my sons so they can be inspired to teach our dog, Titus, to ride on my oldest son's motorcycle.

yup have a friend with dog that side saddles. Very few miles and he leans forward on acceleration etc. Better than many pep.

Dog reminds me of my dog Gabby. No, I don't ride a motorcycle but I do take her almost everywhere. She protective of me and people just don't seem to understand that she would rather be with me than at home. She too is a lab mix and I have had people tell me Lab Pitbull mix but she is my best friend forever.

For 25,000 years dogs have been the greatest companion mankind has ever know. No reason for that to change due to the invent of the motorcycle.

He seemed like a really cool guy, and for him to be so attached to his best friend that he wouldn't leave him behind anywhere he goes, well that just speaks volumes about your dad! Love it! My dog learned to brace her legs in the car when we're on a curve and when I have to stop quick so she doesn't fly into the dash. Took her two times to learn that. Dogs figure out what to do!

Anyone remember the weekly TV show "Hardcastle & McCormick"? One episode had the judge giving 'McC' a bit of advice. "You can have a dog for a best friend or, you can have a bottle for a best friend, but if you have a woman for a best friend, you wind up drunk, kissin' your dog". This video brought that to mind. BTW, I had to add a little something to my comment, I like the man's choice in Motorcycles, I've got a Harley also and I'm looking for a furry riding companion. I had a Lab that would chase my truck down the street and jump over the tail gate into the bed. Scared the hell out me the first time ;)

I'm like Gary... I don't ride anywhere without my co pilot....Probably couldn't even if I tried....My dog, " HARLEY", is a Jack Russell - she rides everywhere with me - been all over the country..Like "Dog", she rides freestyle, but she rides up front on the gas tank...Been ridin' since the night I brought her home as a pup...She has the " This Bitch doesn't fall off " patch on her vest...Rain, wind, snow, doesn't matter - she wants 2 go...The more people I meet, the more I appreciate my dog...

Both of our "girls" love to fly with us! They are just puzzled why we don't open the "windows" for them!

There is just something inherently wrong with a dog having a one syllable name. It just feels wrong. A dog named dog. While it is funny, the fella deserves two syllables. He can ride a motorcycle. I would give him three. And his own little dew rag. You just have to love this dog.

@IAmKudzu Yep- that's in Troy, NC. I work at Montgomery Community College (known as Montgomery Tech when this video was shot.) Many of us still remember Gary and Dog.
