This woman is so well composed and put together given all she has been through. Her fathers head literally blown off, her brother and sister in law dying in an airplane crash, her uncle being assassinated and the list goes on. Honestly say what you will about the Kennedys but my heart goes out to her. Although luckily her immediate family with kids and hubs seems good and that’s likely her everyday reality now.
Don't care for the interviewer at all. A couple really dumb questions. But it was lovely to see Carolyn and to hear her and get some of her thoughts I'm sure her parents are Ultra proud of her
I remember clearly the Kennedys during the White House years. I was just a few years older than Caroline and today she is such a classy woman in spite of her losses and knows how to deal with a prying media yahoo.

I really wish we could hear more about Caroline's career and success as an ambassador. I'll always respect JFK and Jackie, but Caroline has lead her own life, paved her own road and served her country in her own way. God bless her and her family.
Exactly. She has made significant, noteworthy contributions to this country. Frankly, we have been inundated with books, films, interviews, movies, etc. about her father. Moreover, pressure was put on him to support the Civil Rights Movement. When her father was first approached, he said: "The only (N word) I know are servants...", so stop promoting him as some great lover of the Black race. Moreover, there was no semblance of Camelot in the White House between the President and his wife. Mrs. Kennedy created that myth after his death in order to preserve his legacy. We are so glad that Ambassador Caroline Kennedy did not allow Gayle to get her to gossip about her cousin Maria Shriver.
Caroline, your parents were so loved by so many. Lived in that era and they were highly respected by those of us who followed Camelot. It was a magical, short time.
Couldn't they have gotten a more seasoned reporter, Gail is where she is because of her gal pal! She doesn't come off as a experienced interviewer. I bet Caroline had a few choice words for her comment "and now we just have you." What did that mean?? Gail lacks skill.

@Angel she many times doesn't let Caroline finish her sentence before she starts asking another question. This interview is awkward many times. "now, of course' we have YOU". How condescending. Caroline calls her on it and she blows it off.
Caroline looks so much like her mother and her father is there in facial features. She does have class because she was Jackie's daughter. Jackie was an excellent mom. I was 10 when JFK was murdered. I'll never forget how Jackie, then in her early 30s, helped the nation mourn. If she didn't get the Presidential Medal of Freedom, she should, posthumously. I also love how respectful she is of her parents in these audio books. She lets them speak for themselves.
It always amazes me looking at Caroline Kennedy because you can really see the resemblance to John and Jackie, two iconic people emblematic of a more hopeful era

I somewhat agree with you... but Reagan was a great President and always inspired me plus made me laugh! He was truly a great man. And in the end, for those Americans that don't know... I believe will find President Trump as the greatest we've had so far! People just can't feel yet what all he has done to protect this Nation and it's people and he is actually saving this country at the moment. He's playing the game with demons... but when you look past the hooopla that the fake news media portrays... JFK the first time I voted in any election. At the time being young not really knowing a lot about politics but when JFK was running myself and my friends we then began to follow him and his career. He wasn't like some previous Presidents that we had learned about in history. He was young, vibrant and he was speaking to us about things we are really seeing for the first time in reality. There was something about JFK that we saw in that I really think it was because he was young and had ideas that we at the time agreed with. For him being a Catholic was another thing, because we were all Catholics and it was important to how we were raised. The assassination was such a horrific and despicable event that to most of us he was like one of us. The tears and sadness we felt then have really never gone away and now at my age of 79 I still think about what could have been, and where would this Country be today. I still feel that dragging his name through nasty things that were said about him were awful, once a person is dead, leave them alone. I feel sad for his family and his children and of Jackie for all she went through. It's all history now, but it's never going to be forgotten. God Bless our Country.

I think both Caroline and John looked like Jackie, same bone structure except John had his mom's coloring, Caroline had the Kennedy's fair complexion and hair color. I find it amazing that John Jr and Caroline speak so similarly too. I see Caroline talk and see a lot of her brother and her.

Greg Hubbard, I was 17 years when he was assassinated. He was admired by one and all, young or old all over the world. All the sexual misconducts attributed to him have been fabricated due to lack of information and/ or jealousy. Bringing up sexual misconducts itself is not appropriate because every single human being has committed adultery if not physically in the heart and so guilty! JFK was indeed a great human being. Today is his 55th death anniversary. He died so violently! On that day he lost his life. A lovely family lost a father and a husband and the world lost a great leader. May his soul rest in peace.

She is now the keeper of the legacy her mother created around her father. He was a formidable President and would have handled many issues with focus and common sense.

The Kennedy family held so strong during such tumultuous times but they never wavered in their fight for equal rights for all man kind, no matter what race color or creed.I often wish and wonder if they both hadn't been murdered and were able to finish the fight they had planned on achieving what the world would be today...possibly the violence wouldn't have been tolerated and stricter laws would be in place for hate crimes... who knows, we can only pray for other visionaries with such strong convictions to come along in our futures. Caroline does credit to her parents. She is a very special person, poised, self-assured but humble. You can't help but feel for her, having lost her parents and her brother. She made a family of her own, but she has lost her origins.

I despise the release of private messages between family members, especially regarding a child. There are many today who would be modern day Obama, FDR, JFK... awesome leaders but refuse to enter politics as it would revoke all privacy that is an inalienable right of all humans.

For those of you who might not know a famous investigator from Great Britain who is famous for bringing down many Mafia bosses did the first and only for forensic investigation in the Kennedy assassination. It's put forth in a documentary called "the smoking gun" based on a book from the 70s called mortal error that the many thought would completely blow open the case. But it didn't. So years later fascinated by the forensic work done for that book The smoking gun author his first name was Collin, continued the work done in that book and put it into this documentary. Been studying this for 40 years since I was a young boy when it happened and this is the only thing that finally makes sense because you can't lie with the forensics and the math that goes into making these calculations. And many of these things that are revealed get tied in with all the circumstantial stuff that goes very deep in this case. A couple of other quick notes. Oswald's rifle was shooting out the third-floor window but Oswald was not pulling the trigger. And eyewitnesses having him down in the Break room eating lunch.The missing left pinky finger print on the rifle that was never matched for over 30 years was finally matched back in the 90s by a retired FBI fingerprint analysis. He found that it matched the fingerprint of convicted murderer Malcolm Wallace who LBJ hired to take out his first political opponent, in 1950.and made I believe it was a 15 point match might've been 13 but you only need eight to convict so it was conclusive. Also you'll find out three shots were not fired from the book depository window only two. Then why three shells on the floor?. Because the first shell that was ejected to bring a bullet up into the chamber and make the gun ready to shoot was an empty shell that you carry around in the chamber so moisture doesn't get in and be safe to carry around. This is also known as a plug, it has no bullet and no gun powder, yet it has the striking marks because it had been fired before. And that's why they also found two shells in one place when the gun was pointed out the window and. one on the other side of the room which happened when he walked into the room cocked and loaded it and the empty bullet casing went flying and then he went to the window. Many people have always said why didn't he fire the first shot when Kennedy was right under his window and not wait for him to drive another 60 yards down the road into Dealey Plaza before taking a shot. Well he did take a shot there and it hit the red light hanger rod that was hanging out over the road and ricocheted all the way down towards the bridge and chipped off a piece of curbstone that came up and cut a man in the face. This is well known. Second shot and last shot from that building is the one that get Kennedy to the back and come out the neck and went in and out of John Connolly three times ending up in his leg. And I don't want to ruin the incredible surprise who and where that third shot came from that exploded the whole front right side of his head. And yes folks that was an exit wound from the front. When the bullet goes in it goes in small and if it's a fragmented bullet it opens up into many pieces like a shotgun and comes out the size of a baseball or larger and the head goes the opposite way of the shot so bullet came from behind to the left going out the front right and driving Kennedy back towards where the shot came from as an exit wound is like the exhaust from the car blowing out sending the car in the opposite direction.. And the testimony in the last bullet from the young black boy who was walking up the street towards the book depository and watched the car make the left turn to start down into Dealey Plaza said that's where he heard the first shot and looked straight up and saw the rifle and the man leaning out the window but that shot missed and deflected down the street but Kennedy heard it and was looking around. he also said something very interesting as to the timing of the shots. He said the first shot rang out pow then several seconds later heard two shots almost on top of each other Pow Pow. We know the carcano rifle used is a bolt action and can't go pow pow in a second of each other as you have to cock load refocus and shoot. He said there was no time between the second and third shots for that to happen that they were right on top of each other. And also as well that rifle shot full metal jacket's 6.5 mm bullets that did not fragment and went straight in one end and out the other. So it's quite obvious the carcano could not have blown his head off like that it would've had the same size hole going in as it had coming out. But when you see that right side of Kennedys head had been blown off in the zapruder Film you know another weapon with another type of ammo was used. The forensics show it came from an AR 15 which has a hollow point bullet that enters small 6 mm .5 mm less then the carcano. but opens up into 40 or 50 little fragments and blows out an exit wound 10 to 20 times that size. These have been a few tidbits of what you will learn when you watch both the smoking gun and the lost bullet.
