bro was born 20 years too late. the “made my top 50 of the year” crack, the misplaced confidence wrt the autotune, the bizarre comparison to taylor swift betraying an inability to see women as anything other than one of several degrading archetypes… like you are everything american apparel & hipsterrunoff & pitchfork fought for. i bet you think jenny lewis is overrated. i bet you think amanda palmer is weird. pour one out. beautiful.

It's a singing technique she calls"vocal flipping" where she rapidly flips from one note to the next.

You need to watch some interviews of her doing her vocal flips, and also some of her live performances, she's not using autotune in most of her songs, thats what makes her special

This album is definitely going for a gloomy and weird gothic vibe. Caroline’s vocal has this quality, I get that you don’t like it, but saying that her voice does not convey human emotion is just not it.

Going through your back-catalog, the fans are cutting here. Yes he got the Autotune wrong, yes she's a good vocalist, but its genre that not everyone will click with. Each to their own, don't expect everyone to love what you do. Its not something I'd listen to again.
