I remember when this was my ringtone on my first flip phone in the late 90s early 2000s.

there's something so grand, mysterious, cinematic, and powerful about this track and how it devolves. It's gotta be my favorite song of hers and I am so happy it's getting some love, I've listened to it so many times and it still transports me to another world

Smoke makes a more fitting final track than billions IMO. The metallic percussion of Butterfly Net flows perfectly into Billions. The "na-na-nas" feel like a reprisal of the "hey hey hey's" of Welcome to My Island, and the explosive ending feels like a proper send off from the allegorical island.

Swear to God she’s insanely talented. The album has the perfect mix of uniqueness, risk, concepts and commercial appeal. Yet Grammys slept on her when she should have been at least nominated for Album of the Year.

Every song this lady makes resonates with me on a visceral level. Beautiful ❤

This music video rounds up the Desire era perfectly- it naturally progresses from the Welcome To My Island video's final scene- almost like she's taken the subway directly to this live venue. To us bunnies/pangels, this video is the ultimate fulfilment of "I never felt so close to you." 🌋 an icon

She's the definition of a Siren. SHE is smoke. There's a lot to like in her last 2 solo albums, but I particularly Iike the bass synths in this track, Insomnia and Door. And of course her incredible voice.
