I love your Carolyn pajamas. They look like they are the perfect fit. I loved what you had to say about making your size. After I entered peri-menopause and COVID-19, I have gained a little weight and inches. It's frustrating. I find some days I have to give myself a pep talk. I liked the way you worded it. Thanks for reminding about the importance of ease and finished garment measurements. So often we focus on our own body measurements (and as you say, for the less than positive reasons). I have made 2 Carolyn pjs and I love them. You are right, the collar instructions aren’t great. I will make another and master it properly. Where did you get your piping? Have you seen the price of similar pjs in the shops, but when you consider the work involved in making them it’s not surprising! Yours are just gorgeous Adele! I think they would make a lovely Christmas present for a special person in your life( so long as they appreciate all the hard work!)

I must admit I’m a pdf fan. I would far rather stick sheets of A4 paper together than trace out a pattern. Tracing out I do (when forced) but it’s such a pain.

Great pjs, I LOVE that fabric. I have already made the same view. I usually add an inch rise on bottoms but I did 2 on these and they still fit below my belly button. I need another inch on top so 3 in total which I find odd. If I'd of just gone with the pattern as is they'd of been hipsters. The notched collar instructions were not clear I agree and I also had to watch a video on utube. Think they'd be nice in brushed cotton too I think. I will make more as I do think they look smart.

I'm making these at the minute and your review has been really helpful, so thanks. Can I ask how you finished the fake fly seams? I'm also french seaming throughout, but can't quite work out how to finish that seam neatly.

Hiya, I don't think Idid it on the fly - I finished with an overlock stitch but I am sure there will be a tutorial somewhere on you tube. x
