Carolyn's RV Life Gets A Book Agent: Will It Fail Like Her Trademark Attorney? 

I take exception! I am currently a home bound invalid, and I’ve lived in CA for all of my 63 years! I can’t stand the woman, and wouldn’t accept a free copy of her book! I’ll be walking in a couple of weeks, but not toward her!

Can hardly wait for her book. I hear it is called, "My RV Life with Linescrew 1" - A long distance relationship that works. 😊😉🙂🤣

Her book should be titled..."How to gain 60 lbs on A Vegan Diet and Blame it on Trump"

the bloom is off the rv nomad rose - many trashed the landscape and turned Walmart and others off so I doubt people would pay for a waste of time reading her scribblings but I guess everyone has a right to vomit up a book to see if there's a market for it since there's no underestimating the taste of her devotees

What is the name of that vanity press who advertised in magazines back in the 1980s? A couple of things that I recall from "On Writing" by Stephen King is that you should never pay an agent to read your writing and that he did not even have an agent until after he had made a couple of million dollars from selling his first few books. Granted, he didn't get all of that money. When you sell a book at auction, you get a fixed amount that is split equally with the publishing house for the rights. A couple of terms that she should learn are "slush pile" (the unsolicited manuscripts that publishers have) that they received "over the transom" (in the mail unsolicited). Agents don't give advances; publishers do. She could do a print on demand deal to avoid having to overload her already overloaded RV with a thousand copies. Maybe she expects to sell them out of her RV at e-beggar gatherings.

Book sales could be predicted by her calendar sales. More and more advertising to get her book before they are gone. Her viewers will be paying for her to publish the book and then purchase the book on their own. Sounds like the government.

Perhaps her Book Agent will have her try to follow in the footsteps of Shakespeare by getting her to write a play akin to Much Ado About Nothing. She certainly has a despise of men akin to that of the character Beatrice in the first part of the play. "I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me." (Shakespeare)

It's 2024 you'd be a moron to hire a publisher. She's just desperate for them moneys anymore and she thinks this will make her money. If they sell it for 10 she'll be lucky to make 2-3 bucks a copy. If she self published she could probably make 7 each... She sure doesn't make much of the calendars so I dunno why she thinks a book will do any better. Nobody reads anymore, they watch youtube... Why read her life story when she's already shared it!
