The new color is "aquamarine ". Is there anywhere that I can get a sample of this lavender heavyweight? I am learning that I love old fragrances and feurgeres .
Big fan of Caron pour un Homme de Caron EDT, it's still one of the biggest bottles I own (500 ml.) Blind bought it quite a few years ago after one of your videos recommending it, such a good recommendation. Right now the bottle has only about 25% left. I use it on my own, and also on my bed and pillows before going to sleep. It's wonderful! Looking forward to checking out this parfum. Maybe they will consider an Elixir? That would be great!
Molinard's Lavande, Caron Pour Un Homme EDT, and Caron Pour Un Homme Le Soir are all absolutely fantastic Lavender bombs. ❤❤ I love all 3 in my collection. Sounds like the new Parfum is going to have to be ordered to add to for my Lavender section of my collection.
Thanks for this tour - I have the original EDT, none of the others had been in my radar at all! I believe Tom Ford said the OG was his signature in the glory days at the time he was just beginning his own line. And I believe Luca Turin said it was what he was wearing most when working on the second (2018) Guide.
Man you definitely know the Por un Homme de Caron fragrances! Great video, way comprehensive. Besides liking the bottles, you really love this fragrance line. It is very good.
The Perfume luckily more potent then the Eau de Toilette. It arrived today. I also chose Musc Oli as gift but Tabac Blanc smells mmuch better in my opinion 😃 Overall i am happy with this purchase. Still not as Lavender overdose like Beau de Jour but at least it stays much longer on the skin as the EdP 👍😉
I have an older, old bottle. It is beautiful, even breathtaking. I’m curious. I love Caron. My favourite has to be Champagne. I love the olde perfumes and the urns and the silk scarves and the powders. Cross fingers, the fragrance family lives on.
I've never tried any of the Pour un Homme de Caron fragrances, but every time you talk about them I get excited. I love lavender, it's my favorite herb for sure and I'm sure I'd like these. I just keep forgetting about it, lol. Thanks for sharing!
Had to pick this up right away for the nighttime relaxing vibes. The lavender is so strong at the start it almost smells like licorice, but after 20 min it smells much more like an intense version of the edt. Performance is better but not amazing or anything. Haven’t had it long enough to decide if it’ll replace to edt but it’s looking good.
you are one of my favorite fragrance yt's. you have such unique fragrances and fragrances taht are not so popular and i like that, i tested bois imperial beceuse of yor video yesterday i literally love it and oredred a 100ml bottle and you discribe your frags so buetifaly ,😁thank and always watch yor videos. Greats from belgium;
The PARFUM Pour Un Homme de Caron was launched back in 2022 and has been available on the Caron website ever since. This can also be seen in the reviews of the fragrance on the website. So it was not released in 2024. Thank you for the detailed explanations of the fragrances. You have a great channel, thank you for your great work.
Hi! Actually the Caron website also clearly states it's New. Since 2022 a product can't still be New? Can it? It just launched and according to all the publications I read within the last month it's a new 2024 release. Also I met with Caron and perfumer Jean Jacques in late 2022 and there was no Parfum released at that time as they would have mentioned it to me. But thank you for the kind words on the channel! :)
Do they not sell this anywhere in the US? I can't find them, and on their site they're sold in euros. I actually want to try both Le Soir and Le Matin, but I don't trust buying from online fragrance sites..
Question Sebastian, do you think that people are too quick to call bottles/fragrances “reformulated”, when in reality their aged fragrance is of course going to perform better than a freshly produced one? I only ask, because I’ve noticed that the older my fragrances have gotten, the more robust and potent they have become (even freshies!). Obviously reformulations do exist, but it can be confusing to a newbie like me when looking to buy a fragrance.
It depends on if they are aged already or not I guess. But yes when you get your bottles sometimes they might be too fresh and with time they will age to be more concentrated. It's more noticeable with older fragrances when you are familiar with them so much and you get a brand new bottle and you can really tell it's not the same anymore. :)
Somewhat synchronisitcally wearing Pour un Homme Sport today!! In the ballpark of something like Carven L'eau Intense with the lavender and mint, but far more citrusy and less elegant imo. Like you mentioned, very hard to find though. Definitely will be trying Le Soir this year.
Hi Sebastian any thoughts on the new Guerlain Vetiver Parfum ? Does it display any kind of characteristics of the original 80’s/90’s version which I’m craving. I have read mixed opinions that the new parfum is very similar to the original Vetiver EDT, or at least, that was the first impression. The opening is refreshingly bright and fresh then smoky ? Thanks
Well I haven't dug into femme Caron's but this one is super amazing unisex tobacco: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l4Ow7-soWYg.html And I know many women that wear the original Caron Pour Un Homme De Caron so?
I have the sport flanker, Le 3e Homme de Caron, and Yatagan - they are amongst my favorite and most treasured finds. But they took FOREVER to track down. Why so difficult to find in the US? Guess I’ll find this new one in a decade or so lol.
Similar idea but not smell. Noses are different though so it might be similar to you. It is lavender after all. But for me a great budget alternative to Lavender Extreme is discussed in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AzGovuo3S6s.htmlsi=TTPDUOGD0mjUAGZj
Sebastian, have you tried Caron Aimez Moi Comme Je Suis? The edt is fantastic and Le Soir is on my wishlist. Im curious about Comme Je Suis, though. Seems like a departure from the lavender bomb dna.
