Carouselambra - Led Zeppelin Drum Cover

The epic "Carouselambra" from Led Zeppelin. I don't expect many people to watch this the whole way through, since it's 10+ minutes, but there are a lot of cool effects throughout so if you have the time, check it out!
This is really a fun song to play, due to the different feels and cool parts throughout the song. It was a challenge not to make a major mistake in it (especially at the end of the song and have to start over), but overall I was happy with the take. Thanks for watching!

"Girl like you" def very catchy. I don't think I ever told you this, but you're the reason I picked up sticks. Parents took me to a front show at penn state slep center and I was mesmerized watching you guys especially your ability. Then I started listening to the artist formerly known as lars....haha...but moved on from him years ago. Anywho, you are the reason I even began

Dude!!! This is such a sleeper Zeppelin track. This is in my top 5 Zeppelin tunes. You do so well and give justice to what you are explaining and things I wouldn’t have known without your videos. Excellent work my friend.

Good as can be. That ping ride is a ziljdian so maybe that was your one and only....or you regifted? Haha. Miss ya man. Been way too long. Would you believe I still think of some "The Front" tunes at times?

@rickfisher1634 I played Zildjian for a long time but kept cracking them. I switched to Paiste after watching some of my favorite drummers (Bonham, Paice, Cozy Powell, etc.) bash them with no damage. Paiste 2002 ‘s have this beautiful shimmer and I’ve never cracked one. Some of the Front’s old tunes were catchy, we were fortunate to have 4 guys that all contributed to our sound. Little did I know that our “ heyday” was really the peak of the club scene. I miss those days.

Wow ... the master class is in session. You really pulled a deep cut this time. Not sure if others know what this song is about ... i had to wait untill today to check this out because i felt about the same as Robert and John Paul when they worked on this. Jimmy and John were hanging out more and more leaving Rob and J.P in the studio doing most of the work. They weren't happy. If John Bonham wouldn't have died the way he did i believe they would have broken up anyways as this whole album shows the rift growing between them. Sometimes i feel all alone same way, lately im kinda in a deep funk. My favorite truck won't start and the old days of family and friends around while you're working on something have long passed. Im just feeling my age i guess. Another great pick... i can't believe you pulled this out. Lots of work on this... it being one of their longest. Sounds great and as always you put on a great show. Thanks for remembering us old folks with a real deep classic.

Hey Frank! I hear ya buddy. I’m 66 and at times I experience the same feelings. I lost my job last year and things have been a struggle. God has blessed me though through it all and it is Him I rely on when times get tough. I feel like I know you through our conversations here on RU-vid and I pray for your well being. You are quite knowledgeable in music and bands, pretty impressive. Thank you for taking the time to listen to the song. Like you said, I’m not sure what others think of this song…or if they listened to it the whole way through since it is so long. I read or heard somewhere that Bonham's next kit was to be in the same sizes you use. It was going to be a black sparkle kit. I have silver sparkle classic maples with a 26" kick and I'm thinking of going back to 24". In 2007 my bass was $750. A new one today is around $1500!

Hey man! Thanks for watching the video. Yeah, prices for everything have gone up so much. It really sucks. I love 26” kick drums too. A presence that’s felt as well as heard. The 24” is cool. I used to play a 22x18 for a long time and it took me a while to get used to the faster response and sound of the 24x14”. Different animal. I’m used to it now though and it sounds good mic’ed up. I bet your kit is awesome. Silver sparkle is another favorite of mine! 😁

@@ccdrums1290 I have Remo head fit issues with the 26er. As if they are too tight. I took a chance on an Evans 56 and it seats well. So far its got more low end than the Remo Emperer but is less responsive.

@@NCPAengineer Hmmmm. I know Remo makes heads especially for out of round drums. I think it’s the vintage series? I’m not sure if they have them available in 26”, but at least you have something that works. Another reason maybe to switch to a different size drum???

I get it. I was always involved with playing or recording since I was 17, so it’s just something I always do. Recording has been a lot of fun. I have a small home studio where I can do tracks for people and myself. Fun to dial up the sounds.
