Thank you so much for this tip! I have had a yellow stain from spilled pen ink for about 3 years in my bedroom carpet and today was the day I decided to finally get it out and it worked! You can’t even tell it was there anymore!

Here are 3 things to NEVER mix with bleach 1. Ammonia 2. Rubbing alcohol 3. Vinegar

I spilled apple juice on my carpet like a year ago and this took it out! This probably works better on lighter stains

Great advice, Thanks. Had a grease stain, started with baking powder, vinegar & then followed your advice with diluted detergent. Bottom line, the stain was removed on the first application.

Take most any extractor solution, put it without dilution in a spray bottle. Spray until spot is extremely saturated, then put terry towel over it and stomp the towel. That will take care of most of the problem, the circle motions performed here spread the stain, which is why you would want to dap up. Now to the deep stain, re saturate, then use nylon brush and hit all sides of the carpet fibers, you will end up making an asteric * then extract the solution from carpet and rinse, then extract. Carpet will look like the day it was bought.

Dawn dish soap is a great spot remover, mustard is a tough stain to remove. You might have to repeat these steps 2-3 times to remove fully. If it still is not coming all the way out you might have a dyed stain. You can also try water and white distilled vinegar.

WASN'T EVEN OLD STAINS !!!! ALSO VACUUMED IT IN THE END TO BLEND THE CARPET & STAIN - NOT EVEN REMOVING IT !!! STAINS WAS STILL PRESENT

Do not "spread out the stain". Proper identification of the carpet fibre and stain, correct ph testing and appropriate stain removal solution is the best remedy...also the professional one.

No, stain not old, these are spills from two years ago, high traffic area, in front of couch, people not removing shoes, accidental spills not removed quickly and efficiently and walk on it again. on beige carpet, Any suggestions, need a piece of old carpet being replaced

You can use an iron and a wet white clean cloth and the stain comes right out

Here's how to remove lipstick from carpet: Mix 1 tsp of dish soap with 2 cups of hot water mix well dip a sponge in the solution sponge it onto the stain generously leave it for 5 minutes rinse with cold water and blot dry Hope was helpful please let me know how it goes☺

Mix together some pure white vinegar and a little water put some on the spot and let sit for about 10 secs then scrub with a old tooth brush then use a cloth or paper towel and rub out stain do continueisly until stain come out took me only ten minutes
