I am about to attempt this same job and tbh just looking at his work from afar he did an AMAZING job. I like how chill he is and how slow he is moving along with the music playing in the background.
Suggestion for other viewers completing this project: remove those black trim pieces around the windows and you can do a quicker/rougher cut to the window, then cover the cut edge with the trim. Just be aware that the window will not be properly secured when the trim is removed. Either have a helper on the other side to make sure they don't fall out, or leave a handful of the screws in some of the trim as you work around.
dude this is exactly the video I needed to see!! so glad it popped up bc I got a 99' trd off road Tacoma that I've been debating on carpeting but I didn't know how or even if you could do it good vid tho!
Thank you for making this video. Do you think it would be worth flipping the camper shell over on its back to work on it (like on saw horses or something similar)?
I don’t have it anymore. It’s in Mexico now. There where some spots that I rushed on some inside corners that could have used more glue. But it was solid the whole time I did have it
It’s was pretty smoother it had a little texture to it. Worth no not really but it does help with condition. If you sleep in it. The moisture condenses on fiberglass not so much on the carpet
@@nate3535 I called my 'local' big box home improvement store and they sold it by the 44"x41" sheet @ 99 cents. My topper is already carpeted, but I'm looking to carpet the sides of my truck bed. Do you think that adhesive would stick to bare metal? My bed does not have a liner.
@@smashinghum the adhesive will stick to just about anything the only problem i see is doing the fenders wells those contours will be kinda tuff to get it smooth. just take your time
