Fantastic vid as usual. Keep it up and thank you for all your hard work. Any chance you can do a video of the all best product you would use. Eg best wheel cleaner, best pre wash then best contact wash etc. Thanks
Informative and balanced as always. Your reviews have helped me to get the products that suit my usage needs, and with no waste. Thank you for being honest! Have a lovely New Year.
Nice informative video John I was wondering how lift compare to BH! I would love to see a test with griots garage foaming surface prep in the same way someday I am curious about this snowfoam it is supose to strip stuff on paint too! Take care
Jon, i'd like to see how it works against GT's Snowfoam and IW's Powerfoam, as those 2 are impressive in my tests. Powerfoam can go down to 50:1 dilution, has great cleaning in its own right (+corrosion inhibitors), but when you combo it with the Citrus Prewash product, its stunning. It works well removing road film and salt for me, esp during winter. ❄🚗❄
Soppose if car was regularly maintained it would do the job but my go to would always be bilt hamber as its good value and great washing power along side gold class as contact wash what best wheel cleaner you have found as i own a 330d and a Mercedes a220 amg so need a good all rounder
Ive just had a car ceramic coated with car pro quartz professional and have always used bilt hamber products ie auto foam ,auto wash do you suggest i purchase car pro products to replace the bh to maintain the coating or to stick with the bh and save me money Thanks
I live in Australia and snowfoam products like bilt hamber is EXPENSIVE especially knowing you have to put a lot of product ml with the. What is the best product and good value?
Nice fair and balanced review 👌 great trio of comparing to another product, used on ‘real world dirt’ and the dirt simulator. I’m a CarPro fan (Reset is such an awesome shampoo) and maybe a little disappointed it didn’t do better. Like you say lot’s of these product from companies like CarPro and Gyeon make more ‘sense’ if used with the whole system that brand offers….
It's reasonable to assume that Lift is better suited for ceramic coatings, but CarPro don't mention this and they are usually accurate with their product descriptions (e.g. Reset is a ph neutral car shampoo for ceramic coatings). So Lift comes across as an alkali pre-wash snow foam (they state that it will strip waxes and some sealants), but based on your findings there are much better options out there.
@@DavidC1 hey that's your personal opinion. But don't you think you should try a product before you knock it? And I'm CERTAIN you haven't, as its only just been released. I like surfex HD but not the greatest fan of any other BH product personally, with the exception of maybe ferrosol. Don't like auto foam or touchless myself.
Hi John, This question has nothing to do with the video but something I've been thinking about recently. What would you recommend for someone having a skoda as a daily driver who just wants to keep it looking as nice as possible. No machine polishing just yet, just something to fill in the light swirls and then some protection on top? I have Bilt hamber Touchless, Auto wash and some other wash products. Haven't tried polishing so was thinking of some easy glaze and then Double Speed Wax or Fusso Coat on top... Can you give some advice and also what prep would you do before all of this?
Sorry I'm confused - at the start of the video you said the left cup with the 'clearer' solution was BH Touchless... although in the second test you used that same cup and indicated it was the Carpro Lift. Did you make a mistake at the start, or when you did the actual test?
@@blahz7152 how would you truly know? have you done tests yourself? i like to see proof. Jon made a video about it btw. What do you think about autobright magifoam stripping sealants etc?
Sometimes I think these detailing product companies just invent new categories of product to sell more product. If you are watching this channel, you probably wash your car once every 2 weeks, probably more often, and your paint is likely protected with something. Do you really need anything more than a good pH neutral soap? Is your car really that dirty? Does a snow foam really lift away more dirt than a good water presoak/spray? Detailing is great but stick with the basics, and condense your supplies down to what you really need.
I agree with you. They are just like Mexican food... All the flat breads are the same thing just folded in a different way. Detailing products could also be the first World manifestation of the Emporers new clothes.
Spot on Cheemo. Pre washes are really only meant for unique situations where a pre rinse doesn't remove the majority of dirt. CarPro has been on a role lately with "money grab" products. They just released a new tire cleaner with a foaming trigger, and people testing it have gone through an entire bottle in one car 😂
Jon, I’m a bit surprised that you gave it a 7, when it didn’t seem to do the job it was designed for? I use the autobead heavy dirt in a 1to10 dilution and you can see the product at work!
I guess for the reason’s mentioned about bulk price being a bit high and not being a super strong cleaner…it certainly will do the job intended - the dirt simulator is exactly that, a simulator just to give an idea of a products power to clean. The autobead product is great definitely although it’s not a snow foam so we have to compare like for like
@@01123581321341 Hi Jon, yes I take your point entirely, although I have seen a demo of the autobead product and they showed it used as a direct spay on and in a foam Lance. Love your videos Jon. Best wishes for 2022 👍👍
As a CarPro fan, this product was too weak. It doesn’t stick or pull enough dirt in the snow foam soaking phase. It’s the first CarPro product I won’t be reordering. I’m sticking to Autoglym PolarBlast
Great tests, love to see the results. Have you ever tried the max power platinum snow foam ? I've seen it on a website but never tested like you do yourself.
Never found it able to shift any dirt any different to just using water and your test confirms that I will stick with touch less especially at the price point
@@dangarrard6697 i use it as a prewash. it is an all purpose cleaner, so can be used for a multitude of applications. i don't see the point of buying B/H touchless or it's other snow foam when HD works well. it breaks down oils, which are trown out of the exhaust from piston ring bypass, unburnt fuel etc, road film is a doddle for it.
Tried it 3 times on a fairly dusty/dry road/mud films. Did near nothing. Car's Ceramic and has ppf at the front. I just don't get how Lift is so popular. Sure the foam looks cool, its a nice show. But down the line, i am not convinced at all that this method actually makes a big difference compared to just doing a good water spray and using Erase after. It seems more like a waste of time and more importantly, a waste of money.
I've been using Inside Job for about a week now it's really great! Ofcoarse it's great on my maintained DD but I used it on my work van and it impressed me. On the d/s door panel, where I rest my arm it was dirty, so I let it dwell for a couple minutes and it not only wiped away clean but left protection I could see AND feel. Also it's not glossy either, your going to love it and maybe use Interior Mist every other interior wipe because it too is great! I will say Inside Job doesn't come in that cool sprayer though, not sure why🤔
Thanks Klasse Act! Waiting for it to appear in Halfords in Ireland. The mist smells really good. Would be great if they made an air freshener with that smell 😎
@@kevinb7058 I agree and the way Turtle 🐢 Wax has been going it wouldn't surprise me because it would sell good to consumers. They're in my backyard, I'll stop by and let them know about your suggestion😇
Real world I think most of us know that boutique touch less snow foam does nothing but make it fun, at least nothing that can’t be achieved with a pressure washer anyway, road film is going no where unless you are using the strongest TFR, no one wants to use that on their pride and joy regularly.
I really think you hit it. On non Ceramic coated surfaces, i really dont think is has enough power. But when using it on a ceramic coated surface, it really does the job. So.. What is the point ? The point is - go’ get it if you have a ceramic coating. Go get something else, like Spritzer if you don’t 👍🏻
