Great video! I was about to buy Lift as I struggled to find a pre wash in NZ like yourselves. I am in NZ also and the great thing about your video is that your test car is the same dirty as mine unlike other videos out there where they seem to be cleaning a near clean car.

Thank you and pleased you found the content useful. We are still looking for a decent pre wash.

BH Surfex HD is by far the best I’ve tested as a pre wash degreaser diluted 10:1 in the IK Sprayer. Especially on German cars where loads of brake dust and grime are on the lower sides and rear of the vehicle. I let it sit for roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute and it does a good job of loosening the dirt and brake dust.

It’s a shame we cannot get Bilt Hamber products here.
@Kaegama
@Kaegama Год назад
@@OmniGarage you should also try using the IK sprayer or some type of non foaming spray bottle instead of a foam lance as the foam lance I find tends to dilute the product more

Bilt Amber Touchless works well. It's expensive but it does a good job. I use it in my detailing business and am very happy with it. You can use APC, Orange degreaser and Super Clean as an alternative. Just need to find the right concentration.

I have heard that touchless seems to be the one. We just can’t buy it locally here and I can’t justify importing a small bottle.

For cars coated in GTECHNIQ CSU: For Maintenance Washing: Bilt Hamber Surfex HD diluted in 5L sprayer, and if super dirty, follow this up to add to it/reactivate the Surfex with P&S Absolute also from 5L sprayer. Swear to God this combo pretty much totally cleans the car. Not often I'm tempted to contact wash. Doing this maybe every 2 weeks in Melbourne, Australia. My "Good Wash Days" I will use as above, then contact wash with Carpro Reset followed by Carpro Descale then blow dry with a Ryobi 730CFM Blower with Stubbie. I'll finish off with windows (may treat them at this point, may not) and then a topper of Phoenix EOD Titan on vertical panels, and Immortal on Horizontals. Don't get me started on my "plastics and rubber" days, or my "wheel days", or "Interior days"... :)

I am contemplating the cost effectiveness of PH neutral prewash foam for regular maintenance wash. In my exp, it does nothing to road grime so I was hoping that a slightly alkaline foam like Lift would yield a better result.
@CTTH100
@CTTH100 10 месяцев назад
I completely agree with you. I was starting to lean towards Koch Chemie Active Foam for that reason, slightly higher alkaline pre-wash....but I'm hearing/ reading it really isn't good for ceramic coated vehicles on a weekly maintenance wash basis. Been using Gyeon Foam, and it's not bad, but it's pricey.

Try Koch Chemie Vorreninger B if its available to you.
@snsum2853

Lift does work well as a prewash in the sense it softens the dirt and makes it easier for removal with a contact wash, but in actually removing it its not as great as some other products but remember BiltHamber stuff is around 12-13 pH which isnt safe for most coatings, and their prices in Aus are horrendously expensive compared to UK. People (not you but most YT detailers) are getting too obsessed with every little scratch and swirl, its a car, its expected to have them unless its a garage queen. Some will say use APC but that will be similar to most average prewashes in performance, unless you make it stronger and introduce more risk in damaging the car.

I used Koch Chemi GSF and felt the same way as you (did absolutely nothing).. I've concluded that snow foam doesn't make any difference considering the the cost.. Now I just use the P&S Absolute as a pretreatment and don't bother with snow foam.. shame as I've bought a snow foam cannon now 😞
@OmniGarage
@OmniGarage Год назад
Interesting… other than using absolute as a pretreatment are you using absolute in the bucket to do the contact wash with your wash mitt/ sponge/ microfibre towels? Have you tried using a rinseless wash as a pretreatment then use soap to do your contact wash? I know pan the organiser does this.
@mal38dimi
@mal38dimi Год назад
@@OmniGarage I do both methods depending on how dirty the car is. The full rinseless wash method is my go-to maintenance wash method (when car isn’t that dirty) when I am in a hurry. When the car is pretty dirty I use it as a pretreatment and contact wash using soap similar to how Pan does it except I leave out the foam cannon part. Its been a game changer for me due to its versatility and bang for buck.
@OmniGarage
@OmniGarage Год назад
Sweet. This concept of rinseless pretreat then soap contact wash has been on my mind to try out. Except I have never really heard much in the way of feedback from it in terms of is it good?, or is it a waste of time?, does it actually lift dirt off the surface?, does it reduce marring/ scratches with the encapsulation etc etc. Thank you for giving some decent feedback on this.

I use it with a IK sprayer and i'm not impress by this product. I did a Hydro2 coating 2 months ago with all the steps before and lift is not working better after the Hydro2. I'm disapointed by this product.

Stupid Movie, what is left on that car is Tar and aspahlt, you need special tar remover for that or petro/or citrus. so if you use one of that first, lett that dwell on car for 3-5 minutes and then add Lift you will se a clean car, you should learn how to wash car and what chemical is used for what problem.
