This is the best preview/instructional video on using the 9 inch pro. The side by side presentation is the best. You answered a lot of my questions. Great job

Out of all the videos on the Carpuride 901W Pro, your presentation is concise and practical. Thank you. I would like to hear you talk about making phone calls and using an external microphone. 99% of all the videos on Carpuride 901W Pro did not address this at all, why? The hands free is important and making calls and SMS texts are a great feature. See if you can add some content. Keep up the good work. One more thing, there was a complaint on Amazon about using polarized sunglasses and being unable to see the screen, can you confirm? Would an anti-glare screen shield prevent this? Thanks.

The should have put the light sensor at the top of the device. Some of us might want to mount this over our old stereo where the sensor will be covered and not get light. That’s a miss.

I want to know once you connect to the car’s radio via Bluetooth: 1) does navigation voice and sounds transmit through the car’s speakers? 2) can I use hey siri or tap the Siri button and use the car’s microphone to listen to and respond to text messages, call people, set navigation destinations, etc and it uses the car’s speakers and microphone? 3) during phone calls, do I hear the caller through the car’s speakers and does it use the car’s microphone to pick up my voice? All the reviews forget about the feature. I don’t want to use the built in speaker or microphone if my car has better versions. I can see that those are helpful for cars that don’t have microphones but otherwise I want to use the car’s

Agreed. Great review, but everyone seems more concerned about the media rather the the call capability. :(

yeah, I see that a lot of people do ask about the phone call quality. Personally, I simply use my airpods because its very convenient. 9 times out of 10, these aftermarket radios have poor phone call quality unless you install a mic. The Carpuride 901 PRO has a plugin port for a mic and so it will definitely help the phone call quality but nothing beats having a mic right next to your face

Have you seen any lag in the unit? I've seen some strange glitches now and then when using it. I was playing youtube for just sound through the unit and for some reason, it would kick me off of the Apple Carplay...and into the unit home page. Odd....until I stopped using youtube. For some reason, I think the microprocessor in the unit is not the most powerful one...and it can only perform so many things at once. I would be willing to pay an addition $100 if I knew the processing power was excellent. Thoughts?

Hey, thanks for all the great reviews! 😊 I saw your answer in the comments about the call quality. But could you please tell me how the Messages app lets you handle your messages? Are you able to see the text messages and the images? Are you able to reply? Or does the system just read your messages out loud, but prevents you from being able to read them for yourself?

I just received my device and using iPhone it reads your texts and will prompt you to reply. It records your voice, confirms and sends it. No SMS visible texts to read. I played around with it on my desktop using a DC power supply. Will be installing it soon to test call quality. I did purchase an external microphone, which makes a difference.

@@dwsan1tx Thanks for your reply! I guess the text messages aren’t displayed for safety reasons obviously. But still, that’s a dealbreaker for me, which is a shame really, because this device otherwise seems quite nice. I’ll look for another model from another brand.

yes, just make sure the surface is clean and if the suction cup gets dirty, I just wipe it with isopropyl alcohol

Help! VW Jetta 2012, purchased 10.3 inch wireless CarPlay And adapter. I don’t want that ugly power wire down my dashboard. I can not figure out how to get it to work or screen mirror.

Yes, I don't like all the extra wires hanging from behind the display. You can try using a wire holder with sticky pads, something like this to make it look neat and hopefully unnoticeable amzn.to/44H2dWs (100 is a lot.. haha) The screen mirror function only works with a wired connection. So even if you go into settings and set Android/iPhone to Autolink/iOSmirror, it will not work without the wired connect. I know, its another wire hanging from the back 😩 hope this helps!

The speaker/volume isn’t great, would a blue tooth external speaker work? I can’t connect it to my car speakers, but want a louder volume.
