I'm amused how everyone seems to assume this is extremely odd for carriage drivers to experience. My brother used to drive a limo and let me tell you--couples take advantage. Ask yourself why the Regency had SO MANY RULES if it wasn't in response to things that were going on? BTW the hottest part of this very very hot scene was when he looked into her face before going any further, and waited until she nodded.
