Obviously people have different tastes. People slam DDY for the "sappy" songs, but truthfully the majority of songs that I like by Styx were written or co-written by DDY. Other than She Cares by TS, which is my favorite Styx song, I like mostly DDY compositions.

This is mainly Tommy and J.Y totally savaging the legacy the five of them with Dennis left behind them and I stand by my opinion with Burtnick in and Shaw out EDGE OF THE CENTURY was the last great Styx record. This song is amazing and I'm not knocking Mr. Shaw's songs they're great, by Dennis just took things to an epic level of dramatic impact- one of the most emotive voices in rock. The harmonies can't be the same without him like Journey without Steve Perry. After all these years Styx need to bury the bitterness and move on with their lives. It's not helping them as humans and not helping us fans. Please Styx forgive and forget!
