Some people "have it" that special energy you can see it with Religeous leaders eg Church Pastors and Politicians eg Trump - they carry a massive amount of positive energy with them - some people may call it CHARISMA
When she says please welcome Lindsey Buckingham is when this song jumps!!!! He is such a great musician. So underrated. I got to see him up close (2 feet away) at a little dinky casino is Shelton Washington. there were hardly anyone there. The security was assholes and shooed people away that came near the stage. I was in row 4 when Lindsey stopped the show mid song and was PISSED at the security and told them to LEAVE THE FANS ALONE and he wanted us up at the stage. The security left. That was all i needed to hear and i flew up to center stage right underneath his microphone for the whole show and what a show he put on for an half empty house. I was embarrassed for my home town. We have rock and roll legend hall of famer in our podunk back yard and the little place couldnt sell out it was half full. BUT I WAS THERE!!!!! and it was awesome. If you ever get to see this man live DO IT!!!!! He is worth every penny!
I was one of those security guards there that night. I lost my job over that and became addicted to crack and meth. I got my job back 2yrs later and got an std from a hooker that frequented that casino. Ive since stopped working at casinos and listening to fleetwood Mac.
I saw Crosby Stills and Nash in Brighton UK in around 2008,and the security was stopping women getting up Dancing,Graham Nash got the biggest security guy I’d seen out from the wings who sorted the others out,and next thing there was dancing in the aisles and up the front.
I'm not -- at all! -- a country fan and as a courtesy to my oldest sister (who was) I watched Carrie perform. I remember saying that she had the looks and the chops to be a major star. For once I was right.
Lindsey Buckingham one of my favorite Guitarist of all time... He was the life of Fleetwood Mac. He put the songs together after they would write them...
That and he's a giant among midgets musically speaking on that stage. he's not even out of first gear and yet is so obviously better at his craft than the others on show. Fabulous performance guitarist.
+Jake Drew I don't get what makes him so great? I'm not saying he is bad, but the stuff he writes uses minimal theory and barre chords. And none of his solos even go past the pentatonic minor scale which is basic basic theory. Carrie could easy play what he is playing and she isn't known for her guitar skills. Is there something I missed in one of his other songs? If so I'm curious and would like to see.
lol Oh - I have no idea. I admire anyone that can play anything even with a tin can. I've seen him in person and he looks incredible; the same with Richard Thompson. Richard Thompson just stands there and incredible sounds happen from his guitar. So I can't answer it for you. Maybe it's just their stage presence.
I heard Rumors when it was brand new and been a Lindsey fan since then ..legendary writer / singer and ...most important to me...Stunning guitar player .
Lindsey is such a great live performer and underrated guitarist, when he got together with Carrie the energy intensity of there performance really picked up. Wow Lindsey been doing it for 40 years, unbelievable
I agree. Nicks brought a “feeling” and “mystique”. For sheer all around talent? Sadly, no. She kinda just mumble-hum-talks and twirls, but she has CRAZY fans.
I love Lindsey.. his guitar playing and dinging is phenominal.. goos bumps and tingles he gives me.. love it after all these years. More fool Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks for firing the man that actually made/makes FM..
Carrie and Lindsey sound fabulous up.there on the stage together 🎉🎉. She.is humble up there having respect for the legend that she's performing on that stage with, she's a class act🎉🎉
I've been in love with Lindsey Buckingham since I was about 5 and my mom introduced me to the amazing vocal stylings of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. I am also a semi-fan of Carrie Underwood, and I think she and Lindsey complimented each other wonderfully. One of the better remakes I have seen of this song. Good job
I was 17 and a freshman in college when this song hit, and the radio played it about 15 times per day for a long, long time. I've never been a big Underwood fan, but she performs it surprisingly well.
Lindsey was surprised, when Carrie asked him to join her for this song. And Lindsey paid Carrie a compliment she wasn't ready for. It was Carrie played guitar better than Lindsey thought she would.
Lindsey Buckingham still is by far the best and most underrated and underappreciated guitarist 🎸 ever!!! Straight finger picking and always precise and amazing and vocals top notch!!!
I always knew Lindsey was a great guitar player. Then when I started playing I realized he is a guitar whisperer. One of the best musicians on the planet.
Never thought I'd like him with anyone but Stevie, but truth is Carrie pretty much nailed it! ♥ Love it! Lindsey's still got it,I'm his #1 Fan from Illinois! ♥♥♥
Really one of my most favorite remakes of this song. It’s hard to recreate the passion and emotion when Lindsey & Stevie sing this song - Carrie Underwood really BRINGS IT! This performance is a great testimony to her talent and versatility as well as her ability to keep several iconic rock anthems alive! Looking forward to rewatching her future collaborations… like GNR! Great job Carrie & Lindsey. Love her genuine smile at the end as she takes a moment to realize the magic she created on this stage! Well done!
Wow! Is there anything she can't sing? I love this girl!! The band director on idol said that Underwood and Adam were the only two contestants who always thanked the band--she has class.
I love the risks of this for Carrie. She's an artist just going for an iconic song with the legend who helped make it. Doesn't have to be same as Fleetwwod Mac. It stands alone just fine. Good job!
Damn right!!!!! Lindsey is the one of the top guitarists out there and what make it even better is that he is self taught!!! Carrie should feel very honard to do that song with him
I was going to write almost exactly the same thing . Lindsey Buckingham composed the song . He does not do covers of his own songs , but performs them . You are completely correct Donald Scott .
Donald....How can Lindsey be "fired"...from FWM final tour???....when half their music is Lindsey Buckingham!!...so so disapointed that I do not want to go and see the band without Lindsey.
This is absolutely fantastic. I love Carrie Underwood and Fleetwood Mac. It was amazing listening to her sing with Lindsey Buckingham. They are both amazing and both sang this song fantastically. Whoever hated this hates country music LMAO.
Are you kidding me? Carrie Underwood has sold millions upon millions upon millions of records! You can't do that w/out talent! She's extremely talented!
This is my favorite Mac song, and they perform it with gusto- and Lindsay's easily one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Vocally, he's starting to sound like Gene Pitney, too, oddly enough.
Alright! I love this , they have great musical chemistry. This is very, very cool. They would be an excellent duet. Excellent song. Excellent performance.”SWEET”🦆
Me too, I think I'm obsessed with it, I've watched Go your own way constantly this morning & I've seen it a million times, he just takes off on that guitar solo!
I have never seen this video until today. Carrie was very young and new to the business then, but the girl can rock with the best of them and has done so many great rock cover since . Guns & Roses is her favorite band and the covers she has done of their songs are awesome
FANTASTIC ! 1 of my top songs by my Favorite group of all time. This was really GOoD , but as Great as Carrie is, this was Not Stevie and Stevie and Lindsey staring each other down each time they did this song. Thanks for cool post. Roger Crowder in Burnet, Tx.
YEA! RIGHT ON!!! Carrie Underwood ROCKS!!!! A true legend, totally awesome...an inspiration to all other musicians in her seamless versatility and "non star" model of rugged individualism and "not like Britney " presence, and oh...excuse me, they say I have to take my happy drugs now....
Nothing...& I mean NOTHING compares to Lindsey & Stevie & Fleetwood Mac doing this song!!! I never get tired of this GREAT GREAT CLASSIC ROCKING SONG!!!
EXACTLY! No comparison. Stevie and Lindsey have the Chemistry. I don't see why these people are calling her a legend. And somebody taught her 3 or 4 chords and now she's a musician?!
@jephybean a great singer / songwriter once said, "It's a huge compliment to hear another artist do your song and keep it eternal." That's very true. She may not have added to it, bc it was perfect, but she didn't take from it... she fanned the flames to keep it burning bright. That's all.
I agree, she does do a good job, but NO ONE does it better than Lindsey!! Also, I think he sounds (and looks) GREAT in this!! He stole the show and is what REALLY made this performance work!! (:
In my opinion, this is an example of how her talent and passion really comes through when she sings mad, angry, rough or vengeful songs. Great duet. Two completely different types of talent that complement each other. These two are both underrated musicians and songwriters.
They were all assholes to each other back then. The only one that wasn't was Mick... Caught in the middle but too stoned all the time to realize anything was going on.
