Yes, I did something petty once. My fiance, the mother of my child, left me for another man (this was about 22 years ago). She ask for all her stuff she had at my apartment. I politely boxed everything up for her, except her favorite cup .... I smashed it and put all the pieces in a zip lock bag. Not proud about it now, but back then felt somewhat vindicated.
When I left my ex, I was very petty BUT it was also over three years' worth of anger and pain coming out. You see, my ex abused me badly and put me in the hospital more times than I can count. He alienated me from everyone and everything I knew. When I finally left, I went crazy for a minute. I had just replaced the radiator in his Jeep so I cut a hole in it. I cut open his seats. I drained all of the money from "his" checking account (which was in my name). I grabbed my lock box from our house and went back to my mom's. When I got into the lock box at my mom's I found some pretty important things- his driver's license, birth certificate, social security card, and the title for his Jeep. I threw them all in a fire. I wish I could say I felt bad about doing all of that but... I don't.

Been cheated on and yes I did get petty his phone that I caught him with went into the toilet his Sportster got towed out of my driveway and his car went up on blocks then I left the day before rent was due and I was the one paying the rent (took my name off the lease that day)

I think I read that this song is a part two of the song I Don't Know My Last Name. At the end of the video for that song they are getting into the red truck. I'm 62 and people did those things in the 70s too. I personally was a walk away girl. When I was done all they saw was my back and raised my daughters the same way. Though I was cheated on once and lied to once. My first husband cheated. Then A SSgt in the Air Force ( I was an Airman 3rd Class) told me he was divorced and even asked me to marry him. He was still married. It was all a game to him.

Honestly, I think the pettiest thing I've ever did was I found out 2 things at the same time. #1) my boyfriend at the time was cheating on me, #2) my boyfriend's best friend was head over heels for me. Time to plan and plot. I had arranged a small get-together with some of his friends, some of my friends, and we were at my place. Right in the middle of it, I'm sitting across the table from him, my best friend on my left side and his best friend is on my other side and I lay him out saying "I learned about the tramp you're knocking behind my back. We're through. but before you leave..." and I turn to his best friend and full out make out with him in front of my now ex-boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend left in a serious angry rush, my best friend laughing her head off at ex-boyfriend's expression when I started kissing his best friend, and best friend in question responded very enthusiastically. He was a better kisser than my ex, for sure. Hey, can't say I was the cheater in question. I've now been with best friend in question for going on 3 years now. How is that for a dose of petty karma to an asshole?

This "older folK" remembers what usually happened. (Human nature stays the same) First off, there's nothing "petty" about being disrespected by someone that claims to love you. If you want out of a relationship, grow a pair and end it. And yes, I have reacted to a boyfriend who pissed me off. 3:30 in the morning.... in my car.... I was driving us home from an after hours club. I stopped at a red light downtown and kicked him out. No buses running, it was cold and he lived miles out in the sub-burbs. He had to walk home because he forgot that I still had his wallet in my purse. That was the end of a 2 year relationship. I mailed him his wallet.
Closest I ever came to being petty was when an ex tried to get back with me. She decided to end it because someone with more money chased her. After he got what he wanted and dumped her, she called me and asked me to take her back. I told her "I need some time to think about it", three seconds later I interrupted her to say "I thought about it, NO", click.
A lady I worked with told me that one time she tried to run over her ex with her car. The police came talked to her and left and then she tried to run over him again and this time they escorted her out of town.
This dude about three years ago cheated on me and my sister caught him. His car was in my driveway bc my dad was fixing it for him cos the transmission was out. I keyed it, slashed three tired (insurance purposes, cant claim that) i stuck tampons in his wiper fluid tank and oil tank, i put 14 marbles in his gas tank, i put scratch marks in hisseats animall style, i took his golf clubs bent them and stuck them inside his headlights, and burned his clothes and put the ashes in a jar and labled it as "your favorite hoodies 💋"
The worst I ever did was go looking for him with a bat in my car. I didn't look in any place that I might actually find him. I was 19 at the time. I drove around until my emotions calmed down. I have to add that I was really in love with him.
My cousin's husband THOUGHT she was cheating on him, so he took a pair of scissors to ALL of her clothes. She was left with only the clothes she had on at the time.
I found out my ex was cheating on me after she disappeared for 3 whole days with some guy, going to various house parties with different dudes, the house of a drug dealer, and a motel room orgy. And that's just the stuff I found out about. I broke up with her and went home. I woke up the next day to the back window of my jeep busted out. I can't say for 100% certain it was her because there is no evidence and we never spoke again, but the timing was highly suspect.

We do our OWN investigating. We gather up every single piece of evidence we can and we HOLD on to it. We give our men MANY opportunities to step up and take ownership of their choices and actions and we can be VERY willing to forgive and move forward. BUT... We're only gonna let it go so far and then ALL deals are off. There is a line in the sand, and it's different for everyone. BUT once THAT line is crossed, we're gonna slam it down and there will be NOTHING he can do to take it back and fix it.NOT A DANG thing he can do. We will, at that point do whatever is necessary to expose him. AND THEN... we can move on. But he gonna pay, first.
