This song came out right around the same time my grandmother died. She was so much more than my grandma - she raised me alongside my single mom, and was the lynchpin of our family. She loved all of us with all her heart, and we carry her legacy of love with us to this day. I'll carry her with me until I see her again ❤

I lost my mom when I was 10 (7/27/13) and this song played on the radio while I was in the car coming back from where she had gotten in a car accident, it had just come out not too long before that. I decided to sing this song at her funeral and wasn’t able to listen to it for a long time without crying. I had family who attended WEFEST in Detroit Lakes, MN when Carrie was performing and they facetimed me as she sang this song. Truly a beautiful song and every word applies to how that time felt. Even though I was so angry with the world and God, I knew that I would see her again someday. Thank you Carrie for this song.

Amen brotha I don't cry on these vids I just love country period and sad songs never usually make me cry anyway but go rest high on the mountain by Vince gill that was my papas funeral song and his favourite song so it got me quite a bit of emotion I lost him 2 years ago may 3rd 2014 he passed from endocarditis it took affect on him since he was a child but he couldn't fight it off so he was stuck with it he got to see his daughter which is my mom walk down the isle for her wedding we planned it earlier cause we were expecting to worse they got married in 2011 so he stayed with us for a long time after that I can't believe he passed we were expecting the worse to happen though he was the closest papa I've ever been to

my mom passed away in 2009...and to this day it still hurts she battled so many things in her life barely able to feed her 6 kids mental abuse lung issues along with other medical problems she had abd finally Glioblastoma (brain tumor) which killed her I can still hear her incredible laugh in my head see her smile hear her say "I love you" I miss you mom.... time has passed but it's still hard to have the ONE PERSON I had as a support system not here anymore. I Love you mom ❤❤❤

Its tough. .. the sting of their loss never really goes away but it gets a little less painful and your never without them. sometimes I feel as if she's with me. other times I dream if her... my heart goes out to you.

My great grandma died when I was ten I was in 5th grade when I was doing the benchmark a practice test I got called out for a funeral and I started to cry and my teacher hugged me tight it was worse day of my life and this song reminds me ;-; I am in seventh grade I still miss her it hurts to lose someone

such a sad song but with a beautiful message. I first heard this song a few years ago. When I first listened to it I would cry but then I really listened and instantly felt hope. I use to think that maybe we will see our loved ones again. Now I believe and have faith that we will all be reunited one day. I have depressed for months when my aunt died. These times have been tough, if you have anyone ill or anyone that is hurting. Spend time with them, you never know if that will be your last time seeing them. She was 31, she had one lung working and the other not. I wish i could see her again....

Hi, I hope u are doing better now. My aunt died a week ago at 32, due to a disease. I’m not sure what it was but her funeral was on Wednesday. It was hard to keep myself together seeing all of my family so sad. But I did it, and she’s in a better place now.

Played at my Moms funeral in 2015 yesterday was her 53rd birthday and these past few days has been so freaking hard 😭 no one knows the story between us but we lost our dad in 2000 right before Christmas and we didn't come close to my mom till her sober days which was in 2015 6 months before her death My advice love ur parents no parents no matter what once gone there is no turning around 😭😭😭

I'm so sorry I know how it feels to be lonely without the person you loved, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life goes on because death is inevitable and we'll all have to face it someday, I lost my wife 3yrs ago to a cardiovascular disease, I felt deeply devastated with grief, but that's the past now, time is indeed the best healer. My mom died a week ago from COVID-19... This song brings some comfort. She spent 50 days in the hospital and 18 days in the ICU on a ventilator... She was only 61. She should've had a lot more life. I will see her again. 💔

God bless you. I feel your pain. Both my parents went into ICU on the same day Jan 27, 2020. Both to different hospitals. My father passed away 4 days later. Then covid hit America. My mother passed away a month later. My parents lived in Knoxville TN. They had 3 girls. We all lived in different states. On the 27th when we all got the call I cannot explain to anyone the feelings we had. I was numb. We all immediately left to get to Knoxville. My heart goes out to you. The only way I get through this is I pretend they are in Knoxville and alive. God is great!! He had a purpose. God bless you❤️🙏

I lost my uncle June 15th, 2023 to suicide. The trials and tribulations in this life were too great for him to overcome. He just wanted peace. He was my best friend and I truly believe one day…sooner or later…I will see him again and hear his laugh and see his smile. This song really hits home.

This song hits me a little differently than most, but it still makes me cry. My best friend and I have been doing long distance for almost 7 years now. It's been really hard on us. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think, or even talk about him.
