Shane just hooked up my wife with a Azub bar bag. She has a pannier bag for her rear king rack. The side pod is ideal for the binoculars and water bottle. Thanks Shane@Utah Trikes!!
One of the best "Dressed out" trikes I've seen is the Azub Ti-Fly X that Matt from Jayo Nation has. Matt has Ortlieb Bar Bags on each side for some gear, the older Ortlieb Banana Pannier bags on each side, and a trunk for his drone and some spare batteries.
Many of the tadpole type trikes have a problem of excess weight load on the rear wheel for the size of the rear tires load capacity. The Kenda Kwest 32-406 have a maximum load limit 0f 70kg which for the Sun Eco-tad which is advertised as having a 300 lb rider and 75lbs of cargo would definately put the weight on the rear wheel closer to 90kg. If there is a rear hub motor and battery the weight will be even more. 20 mph will increase the amount of kenetic energy it has to absorb since there is no rear suspension multiple broken spoke will be the result. The only solution is to put the largest tire like a 65 psi 55 or 60-406 like Schwalbe's Pick up version tire that has a large volume of air at lower preasure to absorb the impacts that will break spokes. The load limit is 115-125kg respectively and still a 4.5 bars of rolling resistance. The 53-406 Maxis Hookworm tires on the USX EZe delta trike also would also break multiple spokes on the 48 spoke rear wheels. The same solution also stopped the problem on a bike thatt is rated for a 400 lbs load capacity. Almost any non suspension tad pole trike can have the problem of excess weight on the rear wheel.
I can carry 2 backpacks and 2 normal bike bags just on the seat and the small carrier. For bigger stuff, I have a trailer. But I did build and/or adapted the mounting points myself. The 2 small banana's are the cherry on the cream.
Hiking backpacks can be mounted on Delta seatbacks. Not so on any Tadpole! Goodwill new-looking backpacks are ONLY a few bucks each. Zippered pouches, and buckled flaps!!!!! WHOAH! 100% increase in tires/suspension directly under rider and cargo, not under the rider's knees! No "Tadpole Disassembly" needed for ANY flat tire on a Delta trike!!! Seriously!!!!!! A small/medium dog cage can be mounted, forward of the pedals in front of the rider, on ONLY a Delta planform! Reachable items located ABOVE frame that still allows leg swing-over frame for getting on/off. Both steel and aluminum split clamps used for pickup truck roll bars/cages are really affordable! Steel only bought here because they are cheaper than aluminum! Above is still wheelchair accessible for 70yo limited mobility, dual forearm crutch user! A Tadpole is a sportscar. A Delta is a SUV, minivan, pickup truck.
