Up The Unions....This 1971 'Carry On Round The Bend' changed its title, but still didn't charm the workers until its re-release on VHS in the 1980's. It's now considered one of the best in the series. Ken Burns works his magic to bring out the all the toilet humour.

My favourite Carry on. Love the shots of Uxbridge where I grew up. Just how I remember it.

Yes the Bus scenes were shot on the new bypass. The factory is actually the Pinewood Photographic laboratory. The wall & gates are just scenery.

I know it wasn’t a popular movie at the time due to making fun of the unions but I put it up there with one of the best and well written. And dare I say observationally it was very accurate of the attitudes at the time.
