Domesticated species of crops are an interesting group of organisms that have co-evolved with Homo sapiens, and have been important in human survival and fitness. We trace the origin and spread of these domesticated crop species over the last 12,000 years, discussing both their impacts on human society as well as to the climate and human evolution. We will also present the challenges in modern agriculture and food security. [Show ID: 37771]

If you have domesticated one crop, you have the skills or the technology to do many similar crops. Given you are smart enough to get started, I see no reason why you wouldn't have experimented, leading to a rapid uptake within a given class. For example, wheat, barley, rye all being domesticated quickly. Then for hunter gatherers they will have been mobile. So the knowledge would have spread faster than by family passing on the skills.

I Love pineapple on pizza. And probably just about anything else too. They are delicious. I don't mind it being an abomination.
