@@Dizzy-Ent oh nah 🤣 now that i read my comment it looks like that. Spotify kept deleting the leak so other ppl would keep reposting the leak all the time
Nudy got robbed again someone leaked his whole shit a few months ago... crazy disrespectful to one of the most underappreciated rap artists of this generation
Honestly it’s not that bad compared to a producer. Rappers can easily profit by performing the song live, Carti performed pissey pamper at his concerts, they don’t need no sample clearance for that. Pierre can’t do that since he’s the producer, so he never got paid ☹️
Once the sample owner saw how humongous of a success the song was it became impossible to negotiate. That is why leaks are so hard. And everyone involved in this one probably hella mad, the fumbled bag must have been so big :( But yeah once the owner of the sample saw it was a hit, they probably wanted over 75% of publishing or something stupid like that. Then it becomes a "fuck you, nobody gets a bag then" scenario. Do not leak ur favorite artists music
They won’t. As soon as the song got leaked it was wraps. They probably asked for 80% cut from the song because once a leak with a sample gets out and gets popping, all the leverage goes to the original sample artists and the team behind it
@@jamrah8713 they do realise that nobody will give them the 80% & they'll end up getting zero so why not ask for the reasonable set standard price so that everybody happy
@@redblazer29 i mean it's not that simple sadly. Since Mai's Label think that they were responsible for that song they thing that she should have all of the leverages of the song.
I’d assume the sample belongs to the producer, Makoto Matsushita, you should check out his songs btw, or the record label. And labels don’t like to be reasonable usually.
“Y’all be giving n!ggas giving too hard of the time for them samples man, fuck you. You’re inspired by art let artists be inspired by you, imma PAY you obviously but Shit man” - J.Cole 2014
Why would he do that? The amount of legal ramifications isn’t worth it. They were actually on track to getting it cleared if you watched this whole interview segment but when it got leaked, it was wraps because the og sample owners saw how popular it was and probably asked for 75% publishing
It’s rough trying to clear Japanese classic samples in the first place. I believe it was mobb deep who got sued for using a Godzilla sample in one f his songs a long time ago.
I remember when that song dropped it was everywhere on all the pages . I even had a version on my playlist when I was making mad Spotify account for free trials
many remakes are being able to accurately re-record and remake the sample from scratch and if this method is used then the song could actually be released
But I don’t get it because if you look at Knucks - From Rome With Love from 2016 it uses the same sample and is on Spotify. I don’t get why the label would clear that, but not pissy pamper
If a song drops before the sample is cleared the price of clearing it can go up since the original artists know how much profit they can make. You either pay that or risk a law suit later, it's the reason a lot of SoundCloud hits and otherwise great leaks never make it to streaming
i dont mind people leaking really old shit cause that stuff usually never gets released after all that time but damn people be leaking shit days after they made
Every producer have to make sure that they can use a sample before making it into a beat, like contact them or anything like that, then you can give it to a rapper, make a song and earn profits. Don’t played the beat in front of rapper or give it to ‘em if you haven’t done that, keep the beat to yourself if you make the beat just for fun. No matter how love you are with the sample, the people behind the sample, the artist, or if you just give ‘em credit/shoutout, that can’t be a reason you can use someone’s sample freely. If you lucky, you probably can be like Ski Mask The Slump God when he used Missy Elliot’s She’s A Btch beat produced by Timbaland on Catch Me Outside, they appreciated him
Imo it’s okay to use not cleared samples as long as you don’t publish it somewhere cuz the rapper will probably rap on it if they feel a vibe (exactly what happened here). Just don’t release it
@@Dizzy-EntRight! It was probably a hacker or somebody behind the project that leaked the song, because that’s usually what happened to leaked songs and that’s fcked up
thats why i understand when he get mad at leaks. As a producer/artist, having your work get leaked before its finished must feel bad. especially if its not how u wanted it to be but people are gassing it up and it would be even more fire if it were finished
nah it was the leakers, they were in the middle of sample clearing when the leak happened, and no side is getting the money from the leak because the artist of the sample wants some of the royalties while carti's team is "nope sorry" so i dont think they'll ever release it
@@Dizzy-Ent my bad commented too soon but thats unfortunate the sample and beat was fire Major L for Pierre, Carti, and Uzi all the verses catchy too that song get stuck in my head alot lol great vid👍🏽.
Not being able to put this on the young nudy album was a absolute tragedy. That woulda been a career high hit and would have made that album phenomenally more successful with it.
The hardest songs never get cleared dis remind me of a shawny binladen song "no friends" one the hardest songs I heard frm the nigga but the shit never dropped nd yk its cs dey couldn't clear the shit
What does that mean? That it’s just a sample? Why can’t they clear a sample? Let them finish it Fuck I just figured it out. The artist he sampled it from won’t clear them! Wtf!
Honestly it just sounds like Pierre is straight professional when it comes too this shit. He don’t wanna be fucked over also he don’t wanna fuck nobody over. So he knows the ins and out. It don’t sound like ANYONE talked too him about sampling it. Sounds more like he knows it’s a sample and he knows the potential that song has. But idk I’m still learning shit too I jus see from this lil clip that dude knew he was gon be big and he had to make sure he knew how he was moving in order to do so.
