Ohh I miss Cartoon Network. Ed Edd eddy , code name kids next door , and other series I loved as a kid . 2005 2006 , 2007 , 2008 and 2009 were my best years ever. I felt so happy with my childhood Cartoon Network series . The movie commercials and tv spots and fast food commercials just brings memories.
My friend I missed old-school Cartoon Network from 2004 from 2010 at least from 2009. Those days were easy and simple those days we were just kids man.
This was the channel at its peak. 18 years later it still hasnt measured up to this era and considering the state of TV at the moment it probably never will. Not only was almost every show S-A tier and there was a lot of them but Toonami peaked around this time too. There were so many different great shows that you could tune in anytime to something different but still great. It didn't get any better than this.
2005 was arguably the best summer CN ever did, but the network's peak or best period is suggestive. Some ppl believe Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, Steven Universe, Clarence, We Bare Bears, etc. from sometime in mid 2010's is when CN peaked for them, which was a damn good renaissance for original content can't lie about that. It's a generational cycle. If you ask me, I think CN peaked more in 2002 & 2003 for me personally rather than 2005, but again, every generation is gonna have their own opinion on when a network peaked for them.
Personally i feel like the entirety of Summer 2005-winter 2011 was the best TV i could've ever asked for as a kid. People joke about being old and kids not knowing how much better we had it but man, when i see of the the schlock kids are willing ti watch these days it pains me to know they'll never have the era of cartoons and tv in general that made sitting in front of a tv worth something. In relation to summer 2005, i will never forget Zatch bell or its impact on me. Definitely my favorite anime i ever discovered through toonami and think about it to this day. Seeing the "new episode of Zatch bell" commercial made my heart ache 😭
12:10 I REMEMBER SEEING THESE COMMERCIALS NON STOP. I would always go there on fridays after school, then get a new game for the NGC or PS2, then watch Cartoon Cartoon Fridays! Oh man, I wish I could go back to my childhood years 😢
I remember that commercial at 9:12. I used to think it was cringey that they used CN clips to depict love and togetherness but man does it hit me in the feels now. Also I never noticed that it was due to the tsunami that struck Indonesia on Christmas of 2004
I was 11 during the summer of 2005 it was rough seeing my family destroy each other. my father a working man reverting into nothing but a burnout leeching off my grandmother, school was rough cause i wasn't very smart and i got bullied. but i always did have tv, video games, movies. fiction was like my best friend, my only friend. even these commercials bring me a sense of comfort that i don't have these days. they told it would get better when I got older, in 8 months I'm gonna 30 and I'm no where near content in my life. when will it all end?
Im 28. I was around 9 then. Man i miss being a kid. I tell all my little cousins to hang on to there childhoods as much as they can. Being a adult sucks when you dont have a good path in life
My friend I’m 30 years old. I’ve said a lot of embarrassing things growing up as a kid and I think about him every day but you know what my sister told me don’t think about it too much. I wish I could go back in and repeat everything.
@luisjaime2567 Sad, but true. In fact, I learned two things about growing up: 1. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get your wish; you just never know when and how you'll get it. 2. Appreciate what you have now because you don't know what you have until it's gone and when it's gone, it's gone and you might not get it back.
@@treseancann1261 it’s just what it is my buddy we all have to grow up. Have mortgages have car payments truck payments jobs sometimes it’s hard in the real world, but it’s just part of growing up my friend.
Yeah, I remember this. It was summer 2005. I was living in a small town in Texas living at a friends house. I think it was around August. We were living there.
This is also a reminder that we should all apologize to our parents for making them buy us all this useless shit we never touched again as soon as we got it, and especially if they didnt have the money to even do it in the first place
Can anyone explain why commercials and networks aren't as exciting as they were in the 90s and early 00s? There's like no budget nor effort in anything.
The start of a new millennium also meant optimism in the future, after several years, they decided to stop all the effort and deplete the joy from everything thus creating- "the minimalistic era" which led to companies and business owners alike would change their view of marketing/look forever, no more nostalgic colorful things. Its all grey, and bland straight to the point, no extra joy in it. Thats the change in programming, as well as the times change people think of the word (CRINGE) when theres any joy in anything. Kinda sad really.
Feels like it, my friend I remember watching this back in August 2005 when I moved back to Texas we were staying at a friends house at the time he let us use his cable for a while
Back on Cartoon Network was cool now it’s just boring. I mean I understand to bring back classic cartoons, but it’s not the same anymore my friend maybe we’re just growing up.
@@inactive7250 Mmm... That's pretty weird... Never really talked to anyone on streams before me ! beside on one on RU-vid called "Kirby Live Radio" which was back in early 2020 when I was still stupid af lol
