Get a load of this child! Listen up Junior, when cartoon Network first started it was almost all throwback Hanna-Barbera all the time, and on Saturday they did a thing called superchunk which was 6 hours of one specific cartoon
Dude, this rap song used to come in cartoon network channel and it was one of my all time hits. It is so popular even now, which surprises me. Surely in our times, such rap songs were legend.
It makes me sad that my kids will never be able to experience waking up in the middle of the night with the TV left on and seeing this banger. I don't even have kids, but it still makes me sad.
with the technology we have now, you can. It wouldn't be the exact same, but you can show your future kids the wonderful journey down the 2000s road :) my parents raised me on thier 70s and 80s times a memories. Anyone can take a person down a wonderful journey of memory lane even you :).
I randomly thought about this song, looked it up, and was pleasantly surprised that it had over 1 million views. Was NOT expecting that. Takes me back to my childhood. Now I feel ancient.
"Except for Mr. Peebles, he don't like primates. Magilla Gorilla just isn't a mammal with whom he relates." I don't know why but this line in particular is so good to me.
Let's be honest. This was a banger back in the day in the early morning or late at night while watching Boomerang. The rapper was spitting straight facts for this gorilla and it was great. I didn't care how many times I had to listen to it between shows, it was popping.
@@cartoonsrock1112 I remember having cable in 2008-2009. I only had it for months but they were the best when Boomerang was this kind of channel instead of the current one.
@@IfTheyHadEyes777 it’s still Boomerang but it’s pretty much Cartoon Network II now, back then Boomerang was its own thing that played some of the CN shows at the time but never more than the main classic cartoons. They ruined all the good aspects of the show with non-memorable bumpers and the loss of so many nostalgic and good shows. They ruined the channel and everything good about it has since been eradicated. Thankfully we still have these Groovies and bumpers saved on RU-vid so we have something of the old Boomerang.
This video is the definition of childhood memories, boomerang played music videos ALL-THE-TIME lol I believe they were even still playing this around 2012(the last time we had direct tv before switching back xfinity).
I used to hate this song as a kid because it’d come on all the time, but I remembered it the other day and started singing it to myself. Just makes me miss being a kid not having any responsibilities and being able to watch cartoons and play video games all day long
I can vibe to this. CN made the same mistake Nick did with Nicktoons. Nicktoons used to have a bunch of awesome shows before they turned it into a glorified dumping ground for shitty shows that never made it.
Definitely agree, it’s such a shame too, maybe I’ll write a complaint letter lol. I love old school shows and haven’t dove much into old cartoons but I guess I’ll have to find some online.
@@the_original_Bilb_Ono Lol. Probably because I was a kid when the first Men in Black released, and on top of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones making me wish I could someday throw my identity away to become an agent, Will Smith wrote the end song for it and I loved it.
⏳Watching all the Groovies right now. Winding the clock back further and further.⌛ Reminiscing about those blissful days. 😏 The music.🎶🕴📻 The trends.💾📟🎮🎞 The friends.💃🏃♂️🤸♂️ But then it ends, and I'm back here....😔
We can always relive them in our memories, if your blessed to have lived those times that are now legendary fables that lay in the past of time but present and alive entwined in our hearts and minds.
This used to play on literally every commercial break on Boomerang a while ago while I was rewatching old Ben 10 episodes on a marathon. Now it's been stuck in my head ever since.
Dude, I've had this in my head for so long. I finally found it! I saw this bumper so much as a kid when I use to watch boomerang. It was my favorite one
i remember whenever i watched this on boomerang, i'd always imagine trying to avoid the color boxes translating along an axis. i am now able to relive that part of my childhood by using my mouse as my player character.
This & "Walk Around in Circles" with Barney Rubble were my 2 favorite music videos that Boomerang would play randomly in the middle of the night when I would be up watching tv. Damn, that was a much more simple time in life💯😏
listening to this again makes me want to cry. The fuckin nostalgia, u can fuck with cartoon network all u want, its bound to happen. But they fucked up changing boomerang...
This just reminded me of my childhood in Puerto Rico! Basically my aunt and I would stay up to watch Boomerang (context: she’s 5 years older than me-she was born in 1999, I was born in 2004!), and would pretend to fall asleep whenever we heard her come by. I completely forgot about this song, until it just randomly popped in my head...while playing Cookie Run: Kingdom. Anyways, this reminded me about the pleasant memories I had in PR. My baby cousin and I would ride on our bikes, play video games, and watch shows like Tom & Jerry, along with PPG with our aunt! Weird how nostalgia works!
"Magilla lived in a pet shop owned by Mr. Peebles, who tried desperately to sell him. Whenever Magilla was sold, he was taken to some comic misadventure and inevitably returned to the pet shop." Legend has it Mr. Peebles is still trying to sell him.
