Wow you are so informative thank you so much for this video. You are better then most of the other RU-vidrs who have over 100k subscribers.. Great video...

Nah just truthful lol. Another thing you've done differently was start to finish. This is great because I'm so new at this I didn't know how to get my file to the machine.

@@markisherecanada Yeah that's one of my own personal pet peeves is watching a video and they skip a whole section - usually turns out that it's that skipped section that I really wanted to see! LOL so I've made a few start to finish videos - I figure if you get bored you can skip to the section you want without me deciding what section that might be :)

Any idea how to save the tool path for a snapmaker 2.0?

I really appreciate the time you take to explain things. I just got my 1F up and running. I have done a couple projects and they turned out pretty good. Now you gave a link to the bits you used to carve this however I didn't see the .029 TBN in the video. Can you post the exact bit info and link to it. I really like your vids. Keep up the great work.

Can you share where you acquired the military seal stl? I have performed a search and did not find a quality source for military seals.

I'm pretty sure I bought them off of Etsy before everything got cut off

When you mention setting the zero plane, you look to drag the slider to the top but when you're applying and closing the slider is back to the bottom. Did you need to apply that change to make the zero plane at the top or is the zero plane actually the bottom?

Sorry for the confusion - I must have made an edit in the video - but you normally want that slider down, which pushes the model upwards

When using an STL bought from etsy , on a CNC with aspire . Do you need 7 zip or WINRAR as described by the seller on Etsy . Or does aspire unload the STL file ? I`m green and confused !
@GeeksGoneBad
@GeeksGoneBad 3 года назад
Yeah - if the file is compressed in a zip then you would need to unzip it first (using Winzip, 7Zip, WinRar, etc) to get the file out - there are free versions of all of these that you can use

Can you give more detail on the bits you used?
@GeeksGoneBad

I've been using these long tapered ball nose bits amzn.to/3jrjm0F - I like them because in the softer woods I can get away with not doing a roughing pass - depending on the detail you want to achieve - you can get different width points - I think I actually bought a set of like 4 different sizes

Very good video. Could you update your video using the latest Aspire v11? 3d modeling in version 11 is a little different than v9.5. Couldn't follow it with the new version on my computer.

According to their website (Vectric) yes - VCarve Desktop version has the 3D import and machining capabilities
