Great video! Used to drive an old 1988 2 wheel drive 956 xl on the feeder wagon and power harrow - loved it (even if I did occasionally get high on fumes)!
Rancher back home picked up a 2096 with duals back in 98 and all it’s done since has run one of the round balers, actually I think it’s gone through 3 balers. Great tractors. Also has a 2090 with the same allied loader as yours, was always impressed how well that old case motor would start in the winter months
amazing how well hay stays outside with you .......we have to put everything under cover ..... hay straw animals machinery ......dont know if i could stick the cold u have there .....would never get used to all the snow for 6 months nearly every year .....might even miss the wind and rain !
We used our 2096 on a small square baler and then a 3x3 large square baler. Little small for the big baler but it worked. Great on fuel like you said. I suppose we did use it for sending and tillage and our pull type combine too. Great spot to sit as a kid in the back too haha
I have the same tractor and it my favorite in the hayfield. Mine is open ROPS and it’s parked outside so it’s not as perty as yours but I love that Cummins she really purrs thanks for sharing
3M makes a headliner adhesive. You can also buy the headliner material on Amazon. If the foam backing on the fabric has deteriorated it’s easy to scrap off w/wire brush or wheel.
Case brought the styling, the 8.3 Cummins, the dash, and some of the hydraulics from the 94 series to the magnum..... the 2096 series was suppose to be the next CASE tractor, but they decided to take the ih tractor and finish it with Case stuff beings the 96 series was further away from completion.... the 96 series was going to have the 8.3 cummins (to replace the legendary 504) with a new and improved full 24 speed powershift.... they wouldve been great tractors!!!! Still wish you could order a white case from the factory... they'd look better!!!!
Good 2096 love old case tractors but I have one complaint about that power shift button on my 1896 I don’t like how you can’t just push the clutch and it pops back instead you have to pull it back small problem though
I don't know much about Case but the 1490 we had into the Allis shop I used to work at yeats ago, was a big pile of junk...... at least that particular tractor was. With your filter light, with Allis, which are the tractors I know best, some after market filters are too short and cause problems. No sure if that could be the case with your tractor.
Can you (pressing the clutch in) use the big lever and go from 1st/3 to 4th/3? We’ve got a more conventional Mahindra 5500 with 4 low/high gears, and I can go from High 1st to high 4th without grinding, as long as the throttle is released and the clutch is in, like a car. It’s also got a foot pedal
One thing I hate about my 1896 I always have to pull the power shift back because you cannot push the clutch to stop you have to go back into 1 to push the clutch in. It’s because of that silly button. On my 2290 I like the power shift a bit better
Hi Tyson, a good look around the 2094, thanks for that, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in the UK, someone asked you were you thinking of buying another tractor and you replied a 7530 or 7830 Deere, would you not prefer a Puma 240, why a JD?
Ya goina get all that hay before ya get 3 ft of snow???.i like that tractor.im stuck inbthe 70s.lol i see similarities in the power shift.and couple other things. How many hp?
@@Northern_Farmer there is a guy near me that built one, to see the video of it,Google "machinery Pete first 1086 tractor ",and watch the whole video he worked for IH and he knew what IH was going to build next before they went broke.
Hello Northern Farmer. Since I am new to your channel. Could you tell me your name? The only name I hear is Shawn. Not sure if I am spelling that right. Is Shawn family or employee. What is your Dad's name? The hay hauling is that each feeding or customer? Since I am new and you have so many videos it hard to tell when videos are. If Could date these would be helpful for future? When did you first start recording video's of your farm?. George Deltaville ,Va
Funny how people like you and OLF so casually say “ oh yea we split the tractor “ that’s something some , not all but some English farmers need to do to keep their cost down
