This is the second video in a nine-part series in which I provide a step-by-step outline of how to bind a case-bound book. Case binding is the most widely-used form of contemporary bookbinding and is a good starting point for anyone who wants to learn how to bind or repair books.
These videos are intended for total beginners and also use the most basic of equipment, as I am aware that not everyone has access to formal bookbinding tuition and/or expensive equipment.

As someone who has just started trying to learn bookbinding, your videos are so helpful. There seem to be not many well-explained instructional videos on the internet, and so thank you very much for taking the time to put these together. Bless you.

I agree. I made one case bound book from a different tutorial and was confused through the whole video. My cover ended up wonky on one side but the book turned out well enough that I was hooked. So I've been binge watching other creators to find a better video! Thankfully I found this series!

The tool is a folder. It's only a bone folder if it's made from bone. If it's made with teflon it's a teflon folder, etc. 😊

Hello Annesi! Do you have any videos about the pricing/cost effectiveness of binding our own books (that I may have missed on your channel)? I just watched several and they have been exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you for the tutorials!

Does scrapbooking paper also have an important grain? I've been binding scrapbook paper whatever the direction the pattern goes in and I'm concerned I might have bound books that won't hold up?

Take a look at her video regarding paper grain. She explains a few tests you can use to check the grain of a paper.
