I was diagnosed quite late with Potts spine after I lost all sensation in both legs and was hospitalised because i couldnt stand up. I had to have 4 levels of spinal implants because my L4 was shattered. I was in bed for 3 months after surgery but started physiotherapy. Now, 2 years later, I am completely fine and I do yoga too! Yes my lower back does stiffen up if I dont strech it regularly but hey - I can walk again! And run! And ride my bicycle!
@@kayeshassan2220 I walked 3 days after the surgery but then spent the next 3 months in bed due to lack of help. After that, I got a physiotherapist who helped me to walk again in a month
Hi I am a junior Dr- would you please clarify the X ray findings with a label- as I interpretted the deformity in L1 - and cannot clearly demarkate T12 and L1 and how the deformity is occuring- thanks in advance!
Interesting! I had a patient with TB in his spine many yrs ago. I don’t believe he went through chemo. Is that a newer option? Have you seen better results with it?
does it mean that I was misdiagnosed?! Because I found a fracture in the thoracic section and abscesses in my spine... and they diagnosed me with fibromalgia... and I have no treatment. And for many years I have been walking hunched/I have currents in my hands and hand paresis - contractures... No I have no life... because I have a bad diagnosis 😭 and no one wants to treat me with FIBRO... my life has been ruined 😭😭😭😭😭😭💔😭💔😭💔😭

@@pardeepsofat1979 from 2nd month i started walking. It will pain but dont give up. Just keep pushing your body. If you rest too much, muscles will become weaker
@@pardeepsofat1979 Started walking after 2 days in the hospital and after 1 week i came home. Few days after that, I fell down at home and lost confidence and spent 2 months in bed. After that, my physio pushed me to walk and by the third month I was walking with a stick. You have to push yourself. It will hurt but keep walking and you can heal fully. Now I run and ride my bicycle regularly.
