@@corrieshaffer4172 Oh my gosh, that is so kind of you and truly means so much! My goal is to help inspire and motivate others on their personal finance journey because I truly believe it can change lives… but I know sometimes it can feel overwhelming to start. So I just hope I can break it down for people so they have confidence to start. That’s so incredible that you’ve stuck with it for 2 years and that it’s had such a positive impact… congratulations!! 🖤

I don't know if I'll ever be comfortable cash stuffing (the thought of having that much money on hand makes me super nervous) but I do love that you explained about using a credit card when needed and repaying that bill through the cash by moving it over to the spent section so everything evens out. I've never seen anyone even present that as an option before I think it's incredibly clever!
@MissyMoney
@MissyMoney 17 часов назад
@@wryterzblock I totally get that! If you are interested in the method but don’t want to carry around cash, you could always just set up everything (even variable expenses) as binders that stay at home and then use cards for the day-to-day so that’s all you need to carry. The system is actually pretty flexible. Thanks for watching and for the super kind words! 🖤

That is so kind of you, thank you so much! You totally should start doing videos! I have been cash stuffing for a while but just started being consistent with videos a couple months ago. I’ve found that it not only helps me be consistent and stay motivated, but it also feels so nice to have the support of a community. 🖤

How do you catch up on bill's that you are behind on.would love to know how to do this and a simple way to go about this too! Thanks for any information. Thanks Emma that.
@MissyMoney
@MissyMoney 2 дня назад
Hey Emma! This is a great question. If you have any bills that are behind, I’d try to get as many of them as you can to be put on a payment plan with whatever creditor they are owed to. Many times if you call, you can negotiate a monthly payment on the balance. If money is tight, as them what if the minimum payment you can make on a monthly basis. Then, I would treat those bills as debt categories, and make at least the minimum payment towards them to keep the bill (or payment plan) in good standing. Hope this is helpful! 🖤

I have a quick question. If I would like to start saving for the “one month ahead”, should I I be putting any extra money that is left from the week in that, or should I be putting a percentage of our paychecks to that? I hope that makes sense.
@MissyMoney
@MissyMoney Месяц назад
Hey Melissa! It’s a great question and totally makes sense. You can do either one. If the need to be one month ahead is more urgent (for example, if you are in a paycheck to paycheck cycle) then I’d recommend you treat it as a priority sinking fund, with a total sinking fund goal equal to one month of your spend/obligations, and I’d plan for it within your monthly goals and paycheck breakdowns, and put as much as you can towards it. If it is more of a “nice to have” goal (meaning you already have a buffer or emergency fund in place), you could do a one month ahead savings challenge. In this case, your savings challenge categories would be your bill and debt payments and then your savings challenge goals would be equal to one month’s cost. With a savings challenge approach, you could just use any leftover cash from your variable expenses. Good luck - you are rocking it! Let me know if you have any other questions! 🖤

If I pick those up at the grocery store or Target, I’d pull from groceries. If I get it somewhere online I’d probably use shopping. 😊 Good question!

How would you do the 52 week challenge is you get paid bi weekly Please explain
@MissyMoney
@MissyMoney 12 дней назад
Hi Susan! Great question! I use leftover variable expenses as the funds for my savings challenges. If I only cash stuffed and unstuffed my variable expenses every two weeks, then I would just fill two weeks of the 52 week challenge at a time. (So envelopes 1 and 2 with my first cycle, envelopes 3 and 4 with my second cycle, etc.)

May i know ur opinion on how should i budget for life insurance? I’m a student and my life insurance needed to be paid one-time every year so tht’s kinda a large sum. Or should i make it as a sinking fund? Thank you in advance 😭❤️
@MissyMoney
@MissyMoney 10 дней назад
Really great question and yes you are exactly correct - any bills or expenses that are not monthly should be set up as a sinking fund. Insurance is a perfect example of that and that way you can break up that large sum into smaller contributions. Awesome job getting ahead of that one! 🖤
