Replaced High ESR electrolytic caps. If you dont have an ESR meter, replace all electrolytic caps. Capacity has be the same, voltage can be higher or the same.
thanks a lot i will try to show this to the local shop and i hope he will give me the right thing to replace. you say that the high ESR has only one capacity (?) and the voltage can be the same or higher. what is the original voltage (if u remeber...) otherwise i must dismount the whole thing... thanks a lot for the quick and prof answer!! ciao gianni
Electrolytic capacitors go bad after some time, then their Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) goes high and they don't work well anymore. I'd suggest you take only the smaller board to the shop and order all capacitors, they might not have the right SMD ones in stock, but you can also use leaded ones and bend the leads to solder them on the pads.
I WILL TRY . the guy look to me quite expert so i will follow your advice. i think he connected the sax with the wrong polarity but i cant say if this was the couse of the defect since i bougt the sax yesterday and i never witched it on....
