This updated module is really an improvement. I've been using the old positive display module since 2015. My 5610 is beaten up with heavy duty tape supporting the worn out fragile parts of the strap. I love the 5610 Gshock and now have several including a Gravitymaster & MTG. This was my gateway watch into Gshock and I use no other brand. Despite the higher end Gs, the 5610 is my 'go to' - because of its price I don't mind putting it through a hard life. I can't do this with the more expensive Gs. It's also the perfect weight and thickness for my wrist. Thanks for showing the negative display version - I'm not sure my old eyes can handle it, but I still love the jet black look .....
Atomic receiving means your watch will receive a low frequency radio signal each night that keep the time perfectly synchronized with the US atomic clock in Colorado (or others depending on your location). I would personally turn it on, for one it is kind of cool to see if it got a signal for the give day. Plus your time will always be as accurate as possible and you never have to mess with setting it. Lastly it doesn't use much battery at all. . . . so to me there is not much reason to turn it off (unless you are in an area that can can not receive the atomic signal).
How do you find the display compared to the positive one? Is it easy enough to read during the day, or lets say shady areas inside/outside? Debating whether to get the one you showed or the positive version.
A lot of people really like the negative display. I personally find it hard to read (unless in ideal lighting) and prefer the positive display. I do like the look of the negative display version better (from a whole watch standpoint). I have also done some videos on the positive display model if you want to check those out. Hope that helps.
@@WatchJumble that's great, thank you. I've seen another video when both watches are being compared and are rotating clockwise on a stand. The negative display one is almost impossible to read. Only straight on and from the right side. So I'll definitely get the positive version. Thanks again.
