The small the and big 24 hour sub-dial are actually in the same format. You probably mix up the AM/PM with 12/24. Remember 0-12 is AM and 12-24 is PM. I personally like the Bluetooth since multi-band 6 does work in my country. So I use Bluetooth to get time sync.
Great review. I'm looking into picking one of these up soon. G-shock UK currently have 30% off on the black/green version bringing it down to £630. Most people run a mile at the thought of paying that much for a Casio but from what I've read the production techniques and hand finishing that goes into these justifies the outlay.
As long as you're not buying a watch as an "investment", then as long as you're comfortable with the price I say go for it. Appreciate the positive feedback and happy hunting🍻
@@S-Ltd1000 I won't say no to 30% off👍👍 There are VERY few watches that truly hold value; so few that I don't even consider value retention as a factor when purchasing. I'd rather be wrong and make some money than the alternative.
Nice review got all the gst range so just ordered one of these as wanted a MTG and this one is my favourite at a reasonable price can't wait looks excellent without spending a fortune....
Any dust behind the display glass? I have the GM B2100 all metal. First one I had to return in 10 minutes because of the dust speck.. the second one I discovered again a dust speck. For a 550€ watch it is a little bit of a disappointment.
I dunno what to make of this - looks like a weapon detonation device, or the love child of a regular G-shock and a Sidchrome 18-piece socket tool kit. I don't hate it though, which is high praise from me.
Let me begin by saying...Bro your intros are top notch haha! I am getting mecha anime vibes from this... Like if this was sent back a thousand years they would think this is some form of alien technology... Out of a point of curiosity are you allowed to wear watches with bluetooth/atomic time or radio control on a sub? I mean is it not going to interfere with equipment? Random question aside this is super dope! This is one of the most beautifull G's I have ever seen!!!! 😍😍😍
Finally someone who appreciates my art😁 For the most part radio and bluetooth are fine on the boat. There are *some* systems that are sensitive to radio transmissions, like active torpedos and some navigation systems, but we are overly cautious despite them being fairly robust. If we are operating under certain conditions, we will establish a SCIF "sensitive compartmented information facility" (basically a locked room from all 6 sides) and NO bluetooth or radio equipment outside of the proper classification level is allowed.
Looks exhaustingly good. I like the quick release bracelet. I don't think it's more complex to set than some of the Citizen anadigi watches. That's the usual price to pay presenting convenient digital functions in an analogue format (in case you don't want to use the Bluetooth conecivity features).
For us seasoned degenerates I think it's fine. I can imagine the user interface being a little overwhelming to a newcomer. But I also think that learning curve is a short one, and once you figure out the "pattern" the rest of the process becomes much simpler. I have to admit that the BT functionality makes a world of difference.
I really want one with the red accents and I definitely want the metal bracelet and resin band given how easily they are to changed. Now just to have the will power to save for one long enough before something more affordable catches my eye, and sends the whole plan in shambles. lol
Fantastic review of the MTG-B3000! I've been trying my best to resist getting it, but I must confess, your video is definitely making it more challenging! Haha.
I was Also hesitant to buy because I couldn't see it in the flesh. But someone went behind my back and it arrived on my birthday yesterday.. I'm in awe.. It looks different every where you go. And spectacular I must say. I'm delighted with it. Quality is phenomenal.. Comfortable and just enough clunky to be in the g shock range but with alot more class.
Yes, really top notch review. May i know your wrist size ? Like this colour way. I am a bit confused about your measurement of its dimension when compared to the official one. Do you think it has a chance to fit a 16cm wrist?
I measure all watches myself as I don't trust the "official" measurements; more often then not they are different (this is also a good way to see if other reviewers are actually reviewing their watches or just copy/pasting from other websites). I have 19.6cm wrists if that helps any.
I Really Liked this watch… and have been SOOOO close to pulling the trigger for a while on a 3000. BUT… I’ve ALWAYS been in the huge chunky plastic GShock camp. Settled for a gwg2040fr 🤣😅
Mr. Degenerate, I've been hee-hawing over which watch to buy for over 6 months.... Something sporty, stainless steel with a steel bracelet. I found plenty that look good but it seems the current trend is for smaller watches. Looked at Tags, Seiko GMT, various Citizens, the Jack Masons are really neat but too small. I currently wear a cheap $50 Casio and total outside diameter is about 50 mm which is what I'd like to stay at. For fun, I looked at the premium G-Shocks and stumbled on the MTG-B3000 you reviewed. Watched a dozen or more reviews of this watch but none as good as yours. I have the same concern...love the look but all the functions are intimidating. I just want it to keep time. Any other suggestions under $1,000-ish that are about 50 mm in size? Subscribed.
If you're interested in getting this watch, you'd be surprised at how many good deals there are on Reddit (there's a group called "Watchexchange" that is pretty good). I've seen this watch go for more than 30% lower there.
@@degenerateWA I ended up ordering one from Chrono24. It's growing on me, I really do like it but thought it would have a little larger dial and be a bit heavier. Still, very nice. Maybe the B1000's are heavier?
@vijay__d5263 I ordered the MTG-B3000FR. Yeah, I really like it. The bezel has phosphorescent particles that illuminate in the dark... each watch has a unique pattern. Yeah it's nice.
@@vijay__d5263 Only if you don't have to go into debt for it, or sacrifice something important for it. It's only another piece of metal and plastic. Your heart can still enjoy it.
@@Judas_Phart I've never felt the need to take a bracelet off to resize. Having said that, the MTG -2000 only took 10 seconds to get the bracelet off, so nothing new and useful there
@@xpusostomos The quick release on the MTG-B3000 is a new design for the MTG range, and can be removed far quicker than 10 seconds. If anyone chooses to look, there are also straps and bracelets that can be purchased for the MTG-B3000 range. The quick release may not be useful to you, but it is new, and it will be useful to others that will buy the straps and/or bracelets for their watch.
Nice review. seriously over priced for a fashion watch which is basically anything lower than an omega or rolex etc ie watches that hold their value. For this sort of money its worth also considering an Oakley minute machine which looks amazing. Problem is without a backlight mine was not getting any use so i sold it. I noticed that the MTG is extremely similar to a GST which used is about £160 MTG used is £500. The MTG looks more chunky and is slightly bigger but not thicker. For the £700 extra when new i would want and expect a lot more features than looks a bit chunkier
It is not just a "fashion watch" (your useless oakley is that 😀) and it has much better construction and materials (fully metalic outer shell and no separated case back) compared to GST range and it is also fully mechanical, i.e., no cheaper LCD functions. The overall refinement of the case, dial and bracelet is also on a higher level. You just don't know much about watches in general if everything below omega (completely different world from style, functionality and price perspective) is just a fashion watch for you. And you are also very badly mistaken in thinking that all Omegas hold their values... It would be better to learn about watches first, instead of making silly comments...
I fell asleep half way through - your commentary is so boring. Try to put some oomf and dynamism in to your voice. BTW you forgot to mention the battery state on the left hand dial . . . . 😩
