I wish Casio publish an interactive catalogue with their unique vintage models so that everyone can vote or pre-order and then re-issue them. I would totally get these two models.
I used to have this watch. I bought it around 1986 and used it for at least 10 years. As an amateur astronomer I loved it, and was heartbroken when it finally gave out. I don't understand why Casio discontinued this watch. The module in several other watches already does most of the moon calculations. I wish they would being back a real moon watch
THANK YOU so much for linking the manual! Finally got my mitts on one of these ridiculous watches and am so stoked to have access to the true manual, much appreciated.
This man makes the *absolute best* casio watches youtube thumbnails Why is it casio doesn't add these kind of functions to new watches instead of dumb second time zone, this watch's face looks damn good
I had this watch back in the late 80s but I don’t know where it is now. Fond memories flashed back when I watched your video. I really loved the watch. Was a student at Singapore, used the watch to know the exact time of the tides. Thanks for bringing back the watch.
I maaaaay have picked up a GMW-61 because of this video. Cool watch of course, but you do an amazing job of presenting it and showing all the details and features.
My childhood, right there. The 5th grade version of myself didn't really care abouth moon phases (still don't) , but for sure the watch had that sci-fi look that used to impress us star wars kids
This is a cool watch. Good presentation and video editing my new friend. I’m starting to really dig Casios so your channel is perfect to teach me some new things about Casios and what is out there.
I really love this channel. I love watches, but for me it's odd quartz watches like these that intrigue me more than anything and Casio has a place in my heart
This is straight up cool and extremely unique, really wish this would be reissued (with an illuminator!). Yes, normally knowing what phase the moon is would be pretty useless, but I really dig it. Would buy it in a heartbeat.
I had this moon graph watch when I was in middle school '88-'89 era. My most favorite watch I ever had. Sadly it broke. Casio should definitely remake this one.
Great content mate. You're improving with time. Keep up the good work. PS: The GMW-15 shares its case with the W-60U. Also, the processor in this watch allegedly made its way to some G-Shocks of the 90s and 00s namely the Fisherman and the GL-121.
Your channel is as cool as the Moon Graph! Thanks for putting out really great content. I’ve worn a Casio since 1985. If the Moon Graph or the Surf Timer were their only big hits, Casio would still be an incredible company. Thanks again for these vids!
Wow, they really have some obscure gems out there, don't they... Also the storylike intros you've been doing for your last couple videos have been a really enjoyable addition!
it would be nice to have a "moon" watch also showing some of the holidays like Easter etc. since some of them are depending on the moon also, couldn't be to difficult I guess to write an extra line / code for that processor.
Thanks for the videos! It is really high quality content for today's vintage digital watch lovers, and also valuable information for future generations of watches enthusiasts. Looking forward to future videos.
I miss this watch so much. I've lost it some years ago. Never found it, and never found another one again. I used it to cheat in my astronomy classes. Great companion... ha...
I'd love you could review some models like mda-100, abc-30, tic-100 timber cruiser, abx-23 (steel band version), aq-150w (steel band version), aw-61 and PRT 500. Thanks for sharing great time pieces these days when most people are just looking for smartwatches (what I personally don't consider part of horology). Regards
Cool editing on this video. BTW I just bought this watch in NOS. Paid $700 but it's in perfect condition. I also have the Casio Cosmo Phase in NOS condition. The CMW-15 will be a welcome companion in my watch case where I added some blue LED lighting. LOL Yeah I'm weird.
I have the watch, and used to have the clock to match. Both late 80s. I sold the clock about 10 years ago and regret it now; never would’ve done it had I known only 1000 existed...
I already have too many watches but damn... these new Casio models are making it hard for me not to buy more watches. I just ordered a WS1200H fishing watch. And now this. I don't fish but I bought the watch. And I really don't care about the moon, but here I am thinking about buying this.
Another fantastic review and the one I've been waiting for!! Now I can recommend your video to those that wish to know it's features. I don't have the manual as well (rare perhaps)
I got this watch and also a metal version. However, the plastic version has got a worn section where the pin should fit. I haven't been able to find a replacement housing for it.
This was my childhood watch. I found it After 32 years and I want to restor it. First of all I need to know if it works, could you tell me what battery is inside? I removed it before putting it in the closet (and it was a good idea)
Estimado excelente aporte!

Very cool Casio. Would love to have one but your eBay link took me to one in Mexico for $126 in current auction with no Buy now option. And six weeks for shipping? No thx... Side note: I did get the fishing watch 😉😏👍 in blue $28 USD Thanks for your very informative Casio vids. Keep em coming. Please?
oh! this is my watch when high school around '90. I think it's work till 20x9 or somethings I am not sure and battery more than 5 years, by the way I so much missing this thing but it's gone for long time ago.
Quick Question. I have a Casio G-Shock GD100-1B Digital Watch - Orange face. Battery still shows that it is functional but the digital display is distorted. It almost looks like the language that Predator sees right before he loos to his wrist and starts the countdown to try and blow up Arnold at the end. Any idea what this might be?.
Sometimes that happens during a battery change and you have to press adjust then cycle through each character (like 0 - 9) to clear it out. Have you tried that?
Oh man... i really like this watch seriously... i hope casio will re-release this watch again... there’s someone sell this as NOS, but the price is ridiculous high...
Casio made some awesome watched back in the day which they should rerelease. So many companies are doing this for video game consoles (eg Nintendo), shoes (eg Nike and Reebok), etc. These days Casio just cares about G-Shock which has been done to death in every style imaginable. Casio really have lost their fun imagination in creating unique timepieces.
The only Casio watch I am somewhat interested with, just because I am interested with the moon and the sun data. Seems like there is no other simple watch that show this data??! Models like G-Shock GBX-100 are too pricey and have too much useless complications. I dont like smartwatches with notifications and pulse measure either. Yikes. Also I am not a fan of the overall bulky/tech look of G-Shock series anyway.
