Wish I could find those strap adapters! Really wanted this watch but can't find them for under 140, can't stomach spending that much when casio sold them for 80. Great looking watch
I bought the same 6 years ago. It's amazing. The only downside: buttons are quite small like any 5600 square G-Shock. And the other downside: it's hard to justify buying another G-Shock due it has the most valuable features
Is the clasp really titanium? I think that "Titanium" word on the clasp is referring to the band itself, not the clasp! Also, though my preferred face color is blue, this very dark brown is nice as sell. It's definitely not black!
I was contemplating getting the AE-1200, but seeing these mods you have cured my contemplating to an actual "I really want this watch now" feeling! Great job!
2:43 "like to read date backwards"? Who doesn't know what month it is? If someone ask what date is today? You don't respond it is July! You say it is the 12th for example. The logical way to read date is DD.MM.YY.
My favorite watch. Initially purchased for display. But found, especially in hot weather, that light weight and breathability of strap make it a must wear.
I bought this watch with a negative display but couldnt get on with the negative display so i took the watch apart and took off the negative film, it now looks cool with a positive display great watch had it now for about 3 years and still works like new,i have put a black nato strap on it now.😀
I’m sorry but I’d rather have this than a Rolex. Modern manufacturing processes, availability of materials, quality control, and technology just in my opinion have caught up to Rolex and other high price watches. A sub $1,000 watch will serve you just as well even better than a 5,000 or 20,000 dollar Rolex.

Great review, I'm in Australia and just bought this watch direct from a Japanese online store. It arrived in 3 days and I think it's stunning. While the multi band time sync doesn't work down under there is an app you can get on your phone that mimics the signal and works quite well but takes a couple of minutes to sync.
Ok seriously, the features of this watch blow most LCD digital watches out of the water (dare I say even some of today's modern smart watches, since LCDs have "always on display" by definition); the accurate pie slice "time timer" feature is an incredible rarity among any countdown or stopwatch-equipped watch. Absolutely love the utility-aesthetic intersection. Now if only they could've made the calendar years a bit more forward-minded. Either way, super cool watch, hope you get as much joy out of wearing it as we have seeing it!
