Might be petty but I don’t care for the new look of the lineup. They were much more classy before. That giant blue panel at the foot of the bed is really ugly.
Hi @NapLabReviews I am going nuts trying to figure out what mattress I should buy for my body type. I want to feel… ahhh comfy in my bed. I am a petite female, side sleeper, sometimes back with a bony body. Only weigh 109 lbs. Most mattresses feel too hard for me. I have tried the Layla and did not like it. Also a Costco Novaform which was not comfy enough.I think Casper says the Dream would work for me? I was also looking at Puffy or Purple. I want it to be a quality mattress worth owning. Prefer it to be 12-15 inches high. I am looking for a queen. I don’t care about cool. Prefer to be warm. LOL. Can you help point me figure out something? Tired of sleeping on the couch or floor
At your body weight I would suggest something in the "soft" category. Anything firmer than that and it's just going to be too firm. It's not surprising that Layla and Novaform were too firm, as they are more typical medium to medium-firm feel. Casper's Dream, Puffy, and Purple are all in a similar category...just too firm (even in their softer options, which are still mostly "medium" feels). @@NapLabReviews Hello Derek! I had to search for this comment to find your recommendations. I starred rewatching your reviews and did your quiz. I was looking at the Purple Restore Plus and the Amerisleep AS3 foam and the Amerisleep A5 hybrid. It’s all so confusing!! I have a bedframe but no mattress (3 months on the couch) I am ready to order today! I guess it’s really down to the Purple and the Amerisleep. For some reason, the Winkbed does not interest me. So, maybe I should just go with the AS5? What do you think?
@@Jennifer-uo8rf Purple and Amerisleep are both good mattresses, but very different. Amerisleep is your standard modern memory foam and memory foam hybrids. Purple has a totally unique feel with its gel polymer, some love it, some not so much. For most sleepers, I find that Amerisleep is a safer choice as it just has a less polarizing feel. As far as AS3 vs. AS5 - AS5 is extra soft. So just be certain you want / need that type of a feel. Most sleepers are better off with the AS3.
@@NapLabReviews I do appreciate your reply. I am still so confused though which would be best for my bony side sleeper body (especially between the two Amerisleep beds). I guess I will watch your videos again. If that does not help, I might have to write the choices down and randomly choose from a can. LOL 😂
@@Jennifer-uo8rf It's just a question of firmness. If you're lightweight + side sleeper then the AS5 is probably the better choice. If you're a combination of sleeper then probably the AS3.
@@Kalkin55 Unfortunately, we haven't been able to determine if it does or doesn't have fiberglass. On March 1, 2024, Casper discontinued their entire previous mattress line and launched the Casper Dream Max + 4 other models. All but 1 of Casper's previous line (the Snow) was using fiberglass. That fact + the fact that Casper hasn't been crystal clear on their product specs pages that it doesn't have fiberglass, makes me think that it probably does use fiberglass. That said...that's just a guess. My thinking is that most brands that don't use fiberglass are really proud of that fact. So it's super easy to find the information on their website. In cases where that isn't the case it's a reasonable assumption to make that the brand is using fiberglass.
