The Casper Snow mattress is an 11.5″ hybrid (12.0″ according to the manufacturer) made of memory foam and pocketed coils. In addition, it’s equipped with a few notable cooling features, including a phase-change infused cover, cooling “bands”, and a spray-on phase-change foam treatment.
It offers a traditional memory foam feel with deep sinkage and contour, paired with moderate levels of bounce. Response time is incredibly slow so you’ll need to absolutely love the feel of memory foam to enjoy this mattress.
The Snow Hybrid is available in a single firmness with a medium feel (5 out of 10 on the firmness scale).
Concerning overall performance, the Casper Snow has a score of 8.51, which is just below the average score (8.64) we see across all mattresses tested to date.
The price is also quite a bit higher-33% more than the average memory foam hybrid. Looking at all memory foam hybrids we’ve tested, the Snow Hybrid performs in the bottom 20% overall. That said, much of the weaker score is the result of the incredibly slow material response. If you don’t mind slow material response it may be something you could overlook.
